Sears has been an absolute nightmare to work with along with American Home Shield as the insurance provider. Nothing gets fixed, and a replacement isn’t approved at this point nearly 2 months later.

Took two appointments to get someone to trouble shoot refrigerator and order ice maker total cost he said to order parts and later was 550 said it would take 15 minutes when they come back. But can’t get them back I talked to several people on appointment day all said same thing he’s in the area and will be there today. Sears workers are liars.I bet if it was their refrigerator theyed want it fixed. I did a reschedule will report back results of next appointment. Took two appointment days to get it fixed. After I mentioned BBB it got fixed. Sears use to be a great company and service was great it’s a shame to see what someone has done to it. Price was a lot more than it should have been just running the good ole company in the ground to line pockets——12-8-26. The refrigerator is still making noise after spending $550. It’s a simple fix but the repair people didn’t get it right. The man that installed it really didn’t know what he was doing…,…………..HOW CAN I GET MY MY REFRIGERATOR REPAIRED. Is Sears home repair going to stand behind it?? How about some help!

Total scam. Repairman came over. Diagnosed the problem but said he didn't have the part. He set up a time for the repair. Didn't show up and was unreachable. I paid in advance. Now I'm short almost $500 and can't afford to get it fixed. Not to be trusted! And the saga continues. My insurance got ahold of them and made an appointment with business owner. They not only didn't show but lied about no one being here. Now I wait another week. Avoid them like the plague.

It was a horrible experience. Between the 2 techs that were sent, they completely melted the wires inside our dryer leaving us needing a replacement. It’s been weeks working with them, now days waiting for approval on a replacement that is obviously warranted. ZERO STARS 👎

What a joke. Do not use this company! Rescheduled my appointment for no apparent reason, had to wait another 5 days, then on day of new appointment they called to say they were on their way and then cancelled because they couldn't find my house after I repeatedly gave clear instructions. Also you can't speak to an actual person by phone or chat, all AI

Diagnosis did not correct the problem. The technician diagnosed the flame sensor as the issue. A new sensor was obtained, installed but had no effect on the problem. It cost $139 for a false diagnosis. A refund is expected. Followup: Contacted supplier and left a detailed description on the service. A ran a diagnostic on the dryer and it indicated a control board issue. I replaced the board and the unit functions like new. Why couldn't the technician have performed the same diagnostic? I still expect a refund but never heard back from the provider.

This service center is beyond absolutely horrible. Calvin is very nice and personable and that is the ONLY reason they are even getting a single star. My refrigerator died on July 19. Calvin came to inspect it on July 24th. Ordered the parts and the parts arrived around July 28th. There was an appointment to fix it on August 4th. On the actual day, they cancelled and rescheduled for August 11th. On August 11th, they cancelled and rescheduled for August 22nd. I was scheduled to be out of town and arranged for someone to be in the house to meet the service man. On that day, they cancelled and rescheduled for September 9th. I have been out of a refrigerator for more than 6 weeks now (August 28th). A lot of my wife's insulin is now wasted. Sears does not have a real person to talk to. They use AI and this is an excerpt of their reply: "Hello, this is Richard, your AI virtual assistant from Sears Home Services. We regret to inform you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we will not be able to have a technician available today to service your appliance. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We would like to make this right by rescheduling your appointment at the next available time. Which of the following works best for you? 1) Monday, 8/25, 8am-5pm 2) Tuesday, 8/26, 8am-5pm 3) Wednesday, 8/27, 8am-5pm 4) Thursday, 8/28, 8am-5pm" My reply: NO! This has been rescheduled already! I am leaving out of town tomorrow morning and my aged mother is staying in my place! Their reply: I understand the urgency of your situation, and I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Since your original appointment was scheduled for today and there are no available slots for rescheduling before you leave town, your original appointment remains as scheduled for today. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please let me know. Later, awaiting the serviceman, I sent a message asking where the serviceman is and... Their reply: I understand your concern. Unfortunately, since the order status is "Reschedule Needed," it seems there might have been an issue with today's appointment. I recommend contacting our customer service team directly for the most accurate and immediate update on the technician's estimated time of arrival (ETA). They will be able to provide you with the latest information and assist you further. If there's anything else you need, please let me know. I tried calling them to speak to a life agent and was told they are an AI only service center. I seriously CANNOT recommend this service to anyone. EDIT (September 5, 2025 1320 hrs): I tried to call the number and was routed to an AI again. LOL. This is BEYOND a nightmare. I resorted to calling Home Depot (whom I had bought the warranty from) and they routed me to a human being! Had an appointment set for September 5th, 12:00 to 1:00 for the repair. It is now past that time and I had a call from someone who said they were calling to confirm the information, and now my appointment for repair is September 11, 2025. Mike also said he will escalate it to his manager who will escalate it to the field manager. We will see. Edit: September 18, 2025. A serviceman called and said he'd be here. He showed up. He looked at the parts that came in and advised me that he was not trained to put in the parts! LOL! Next appointment scheduled for September 23, 2025. The saga continues .. I record the price as overpriced because of all the time and resources we have had to invest into this horrible experience. Edit: September 23, 2025. (65 days later) Calvin the serviceman arrived today at around 9:26 am. He left at 11:59 and my refrigerator is finally running again. It took 60 days to get a 2.5 hour job done. While I am happy to have a refrigerator which is running again, I am still disgusted that it took 60 days for a 2.5 hour job. I am told they are understaffed but that is no excuse to leave a customer unattended to for 60 days.

Horrible service and experience. Four trips out and still no air-conditioning. Had a warranty through Choice Home Warranty and just got a service change date (I did not change it). Now my appointment e-mail says he is here. He is not here. Now my ticket says my service is going to be closed out because Choice Home Warranty will not cover the amount of the repair! I didn't chose them. Choice Home Warranty did!This is after they collected a $100 deductible! Can I say Lawsuit!!!!! Spent 3 days of my life waiting to get this done! PISSED. P.S. Now on the 5th trip, technician stated "Customer declined service" technician never showed up! I would check zero stars if I could!

Fifth time their bots have rescheduled an unfinished dishwasher repair. WTH? Seriously considering picketing on the side of US12 and requesting a honk for lagging warranty service calls in contrast to the pay now folks that get their work done first front and center! A deeper love doesn’t play yo.
