No phone call before arriving. Arrived at 730, half hour before 8-12 window. Replaced belt which I suggested as washer was making a belt noise. Was gone in 20 minutes.

Customer service response - We apologize for not calling before arriving and any inconvenience caused by our early arrival. Thank you for suggesting the belt replacement and for your feedback.

Have Master Service Agreement with Sears for many years but the service was getting worse over time. Have a Laundry Center W/D unit in my rental property that had major issue with the unit. Tenant called in end of March for repair and unit finally got repaired June 17th over two and a half months later. Unfortunately my tenants got feed up and did threaten to sue me so I had to purchase a new unit end of May which was delivered May 31th. I got BBB involved to see if Sears steps up to the plate to comensate me for the cost. Do not recommend to use them.

Sears technician broke the appliance worse than it was beforehand. Was supposed to order additional parts and schedule a follow-up visit. Did neither, and I have to start back at the beginning.

Tech was unable to work on my dishwasher. Only refrigerators. I had advised sears of the dishwasher leak when you reached out to schedule. Tech told me to reschedule after we waited 6 hours for his arrival. Very inhappy with service.

Scheduling appt with the Protection Plan # was not good & when I called the shop itself, interaction was not good. Date was changed initially & quite a few times by shop itself. Also, time was changed 3 times on day of service. Tech smelled heavily of cigarettes & I am allergic; nor do I like the smell. Tech that came out could not do what was needed & he had no help in who could do what was needed. Will not use A&E again & will tell the Protection Plan people not to schedule with them.

Technician said the timer on the washer was bad and that the part wasn't made anymore. He said that if I signed up for a service contract (at $600 a year) they could do an internet search to try to find the part. I declined. I brought another service person in. In under 15 seconds he said the problem was a broken lid switch. He ordered the part and installed it two days later. The washer works fine now. So it wasn't a bad timer. By the way, I asked the other service person if they still make timers for this washer. He said that they do. Your technician seemed more interested in selling me a service contract than fixing the washing machine. I don't know if this was a case of incompetence or deliberate dishonesty, but you should take steps to insure that this never happens again

The technician did not so much as power up the appliance…I had the circuit breaker off. Nevertheless, he ostensibly diagnosed the problem and gave me a repair estimate. The estimate was close to the price of a new washer. He suggested strongly that I purchase an “all-appliance” service contract for $55/month, which I declined. I was charged $129 for the “diagnosis” which consisted of nothing more than the information I had provided when I made the service appointment. Again, the washer was never powered up! It was obvious to me that the major objective of the visit was to sell me a service contract. Never agin!!!
