I don’t like that they want to sell you a policy when you have already purchased one through the sale of the GE product.

Water dispenser was not working. It was supposedly repaired on 12/23/25. Technician advised that we need to use it more often. We have been using for the last fifteen years without any problems until now.

The problem is not fixed! Cost us over $300.
Brett M,
The repairman provided an estimate that was way out of line with what needs to be repaired. After some research on-line, i bought the parts for $7, yes $7 and I can make the repair in less than an hour with limited tools. Maybe he just didn't want the work? I would have paid $100 to not have to deal with it, but $500 - $700, well now I will fix it myself without having to buy a new dryer.
Greg H,
Total frustration with this process that took over three weeks to repair a design flaw in our dishwasher. The technician who came to the house was knowledgeable but customer service was NOT. The tech knew the parts he was told to order were incorrect the first time but the Sears customers service tech stated they were the correct parts. Waited for the incorrect parts...parts came...tech came...parts were incorrect and tech had to call again to try to order the correct parts. This time the parts were the correct ones and we finally had our dishwasher repaired. No confidence in Sears getting this done correctly the first time.
Rhona M,
Your service tech from A&E appliance service was very unprofessional. He had a bad attitude when he followed me into my home thru the garage. No good morning or my name is.... i didn't find out his name until he was almost finished. Sedwick was his name. His statement upon entering the house was " Whats wrong with it"!! Apparently he didn't read the repair request form!!! Sedwick proceeded to pull the front panel of the Ice Maker. When he asked if I had any questions. My response was no questions just watching! His response was that he didn't LIKE anyone watching him work it made him NERVOUS. This guy has been repairing refrigerator / freezers for over 30 years, he should have gotten over his uneasiness by now! After pulling off the icemaker cover and dropping ice from the icemaker all over the floor THAT I HAD TO CLEAN UP!! He said that he has assessed the problem. The Icemaker drop down door was out of adjustment. His next statment was i noticed that you don't have a service warranty on any of your appliances, for $50.00 a month it would cover everything. I said that $50.00 was a little high! I informed him that we had a service warranty on the new dishwasher from sears. His was response was, ok then for a 2 year service warranty on on your kenmore elite refrigerator/freezer it would cost $299.00, and the 1 year would cost $119.00. My response was that I'll think about his warranties for service, but for now i want the Ice Maker drop down door fixed!! His response was that if you get the service warranty the price of the repairs would a lot cheaper !!! I said let's get this icemaker fixed first, then we'll talk about the service warranty. It's Obvious that all Sedwick was interested in doing was SELLING A SERVICE WARRANTY, and NOT Repairing my the icemaker drop down door. When Sedwick had completed the service, he asked if I was going to purchase the service warranty? My response was no. He proceeded to work on his computer to print out my bill. Once the the transaction was completed, Sedwick picked up his tools and walked out of house. I followed him thru the garage. He put his tools into the A&E Service Van and drove away. This guy SHOULDN'T BE A SERVICE TECH He didn't say THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING SEARS REPAIR SERVICE OR ANYTHING!!!! Yes he fixed the icemaker drop down door, but with a big time Attitude.

The water dispenser in our KitchenAid fridge started acting g up. After tech ordered the part we received an unexpected cancellation for the followup appointment to replace it. I had to call and find out what was going on. So much for customer service. I was told the part wasn’t available anywhere which didn’t make sense because the fridge is only 4 years old and there is a law that items costing more than $100 have their parts available for 7 years!. Sears doesn’t carry KitchenAid anymore and even though they said they tried to find the part elsewhere they couldn’t so I would have to get a new fridge. The confirmation email they sent me offered a credit of $700 for a new dishwasher...not even the appliance we had been communicating about! When I called back to find out the credit for the fridge, they were offering me far less than what is comparable to the fridge I have. I have a 28.6 cu ft fridge and they were telling me per their website it’s only 26.8. Was very upset they wouldn’t google the model number to see they weren’t working with the correct info. But because “we can only go by what’s on our sears site” I was stuck. My husband did some digging (because we didn’t want a different brand fridge and didn’t want this one being trashed for one faulty part) and discovered the part DOES exist but it has a new part number. We Had sears send a second tech out for another opinion and he mentioned part numbers change all the time. Why was that not something Sears looked into? If it happens all the time it would make sense they would do their due diligence to see if that was the case. Once we showed the tech the new part number, he ordered it and it was replaced. Having paid for the extended warranty I feel like we didn’t get our monies worth. We were the only ones who cared about truly fixing the fridge before exploring other options. Sears was so willing to give us a credit for a new fridge but that wasn’t what we wanted. They wouldn’t even consider cutting is a check instead so we could replace with another KitchenAid. Very disappointed in their lack of effort to do the right thing.
