This was the worst service call ever. The technician did not explain what was wrong with my washer, didn’t explain how to repair it or provide a detail breakdown of the cost estimate. He showed me his phone with two parts and a $499 cost estimate. I refused and he said if I bought a warranty it would be cheaper, I asked who buys a warranty on an inoperable washer?

The repair tech was a con artist who over rated the repair cost, offered to save me half of the $558 when I refused. Then, the con for me to purchase that day only but could cancel in 30 days a service plan. After agreeing, this con artist states that he did not have the part to repair the dryer with him. In making the appointment, I provided model and serial number. Youtube provided the better instructions and required parts for DIY. I' have tried to cancel the service plan, and was told I had to pay $175. So far I paid $279 for part and labor plus $60.99 for service plan. All in all, my dryer repair will be $515 of that $558 which was overrated and a big scam. Sears no more. Buy Home Depot and Lowes who are up front with their warranties and service plans.
