I am extremely disappointed with Sears Home Service. My Maytag front-load washer was displaying 'Sud' and 'F02' errors and failing to drain, even with no detergent. The technician charged me a $130 diagnostic fee only to incorrectly claim a faulty sensor was the issue. He did not perform any repairs, stating that the sensor, control board, and main board were all discontinued, and advised me to buy a new machine. After he left, I took a flashlight and discovered several items of clothing—including a small sock—stuck between the drum and the enclosure. I was able to fix the machine myself simply by disconnecting the drain connector and removing the blockage. It now works perfectly. It seems Sears is more interested in collecting diagnostic fees than providing actual solutions. I can't help but wonder: even if the parts hadn't been 'discontinued,' had I received a repair estimate nearly equal to the cost of a new machine, would I have been pressured into an unnecessary replacement anyway?" I am NOT a happy customer!

Three year old fridge broken freezer and of course no ice making. Lowes, Sears and GE have been toying with me for 9 months now. This was the 6th claim I put in. Two weeks before this service call the Sears repair man ordered a compressor and more (5 parts in total) to accommodate the repair job. On the day of service he chose not to replace any parts because he said he found a very small leak on coolant line, he plugged the leak and added more coolant to sealed system pressurizing system cause supposedly the pressure was low. Spent less than an hour, then took all the ordered parts and left. Told me give it 24 hours. In less than 24 hours not only was the freezer warm, but the fridge also stopped cooling. Lost all our groceries worth min $250 as Thanksgiving was around the corner. Stay away from Lowes, definitely stay away from Lowes extended warranty as they hire companies that don't know how to repair fridge/freezer and you are stuck with a non working fridge for months, and stay away from GE & Whirlpool products. They don't make anything like they use to. A $2,000 fridge is only going to last you for 2 maybe 3 years which is pathetic. If you want an appliance that will last you 10+ years you need to spend $8,000 on a fridge. Absolutely unacceptable!

Absolutely the biggest ripoff for a simple repair. Once I found out what the problem was and the technician showed me the cost, I was floored. A 15 min job cost $400.00 for Labor... that is a WHOPPING $1,600.00 per hour Labor Rate. I Paid the $130.00 Service Charge and DECLINED the Repair! Never again will I use this Co!

I waited for 10 hours for them to show up. They would update me every so often making it seem like they were on the way. But after 10 hours they were a no show and just rescheduled the appointment on a day I had to work. So now I took the day off. At least this time they showed up. Didn’t fix anything but it’s the small victories. UPDATE. They showed up and told me it was an electrical issue. So I called an electrician. The Electritian showed up (on time) and showed me that it was in fact not an electrical problem but it was the dryer. So Sears said let’s do a video meeting to determine what parts I might need. I picked a time slot and they called an hour before the time I picked. So no video conference. The technician came out a few days later and couldn’t fix it because he didn’t have the right parts. Now I am getting emails saying that the parts are on back order. It been over a month without a dryer. Don’t use Sears. Update 12/1/25 After They no showed again (3rd time) on Friday they finally showed up and put the new parts in. They also charged me $50 to vacuum the inside out. I will never use Sears again. Don’t believe the comment below. I called and went to their website. They didn’t want to help resolve my problem. My sister in law had the same issue trying to get her Oven fixed. The technician tried to tell her she needed and electrician. She did not.

What a farce! I called the number I was told to call with the error code on the front of my Jennair microwave/broil/steam oven. They recommended this repair service. I had the error code. I purchased the part which was an interlocutor from them and it arrived in a few days at which time I scheduled the appointment for them to install it. I got an email that told me to enter my serial number, model number, error code, and any other detail details along with photos of my machine and I did all of that. I got several texts, asking me if I wanted a sooner appointment but since I had to take the day off to be there, I kept the original appointment. I confirmed the appointment all three times and the day before it sent me a reminder. The 8 to 12 appointment time passed and after 2 PM when no one showed up I called. Suddenly it's AI only and there's no one to talk to. The computer gave me a new appointment at that point for the next morning. Someone came that Time, Two technicians and they said it needed a whole new panel for $1099.90 for the part and $249 to put it in. I looked up the estimate on their own website. The part was $748 but they wanted to charge me $1010 for the same part from their own website. They also would not put in the part that I ordered when I was on the phone with the original booking person that had come in the mail and was still in the package with their return address on it. They flat out refused and said no it needs a whole panel not a switch. because I felt stuck with paying 249 anyway at that point I went ahead with the estimate. The thousand dollar part came and they showed up again. They put in their thousand dollar panel and the same old error code came up. They still refuse to put in the interlock door switch which was the original part that I bought because that's what was wrong with the machine. They then said it needed another whole computer panel plus the thousand dollar part that they just put in. Again, refusing to try the new door switch because they didn't carry it over my threshold, but it showed up in the mail from their website. The guy said if I didn't want to buy a whole new panel plus a new circuit board. I should just buy a new microwave. Because my microwave was $3100. I had tried to repair it, but he took the parts and left. Why wouldn't he just try putting in that little door switch? So now a month has passed altogether. I wasted two days off from work and I need to go find a new microwave and put in that space and get somebody else to install it. Run away from these people what a rip off

HORRIFIC experience. Their customer service is completely run by AI, so when my technician never showed up after I waited all day (8a-5p) as scheduled, I was not able to speak to anyone. I was automatically scheduled for the next day and had to give up another full day (8a-5p) to not even be the first one on the service list. I spent way too much time trying to get ahold of a human to speak to without any success. The worst customer service experience of my life. Do NOT use Sears.
