Charged $129.00 to tell me the heat element was bad. I already knew was either that or Temp limit switch. NO REPAIR. That was $300+ more. Tech tried to remove top until I told him to take off front panel. He lost the panel screws. Loose clip from top found in bottom by repairman.

Refrigerator drawer to chill cold drinks was not fixed,but a piece of tape on it, but not fixed. The ice maker was fixed. Tried to call them with no results, couldn't speak to a person, only an Ai machine. I would not recommend this company.

I am so disappointed with the customer service. I placed a service request two days ago for today (a saturday). Got an update the technician was on the way. Look again about an hour later because nobody had come yet. Look again and it says that it has been cancelled because I wasn’t home. Nobody rang my doorbell, i have two large dogs that bark if someone walks by the house, so clearly nobody even attempted to knock. My garage was also open because i was outside working and both cars were there. So how was I not home? Tried to call to check in, but no way to talk to an actual person. They probably went to the wrong house, but the least they could do is call the number on file to check or maybe use their map to see where the address listed is? I don’t know just an idea. So frustrating and disappointing. Will never use this service again and would never recommend.

Sears Appliance Repair was contracted through my home warranty company to fix my refrigerator which was not cooling. After 6 weeks and 6 different visits it is still not fixed. That's six days that I have had to take off of work because the window of their arrival is never more narrowed down than between 8 am and 3 pm, so you have to give up your whole day to be there. They have sent out 3 different technicians, and each time a new one comes out they start fresh because they have no idea what the others have done. One time they cancelled their appointment on the day they were supposed to come, so I took that day off of work only for them to reschedule a week later. Apparently there are no humans that work in the office, because when you call their phone number it is not possible to talk to a person. If your home warranty company contracts with them for your repair beg them to find someone else! Update: Sears replied to my review apologizing for the experience and gave me a number to call to discuss the situation. I called and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Just want to make sure no one gets the impression from their response that they actually care.

Sears Home Services was assigned to my claim under Choice Home Warranty. The technician arrived but refused to discuss the reason for the service request until the home warranty coverage fee was paid. He came unprepared and didn't know why the services were requested. He did not fix the problem and submitted a diagnosis that did not take into consideration the circumstances and backstory of the problem. He wrote his report to Choice Home Warranty in a way that they decided not to cover the repair, even though the problem was caused by another company that Choice sent in the first place. I must say that the performance of the technician who came this time and the one who came in 2022 for the same problem was unacceptable and poor.

Had to fix an electric stove top . The technician visit was paid and scheduled 2 weeks out . We were told to get a part which we ordered. The technician visit was 2 weeks out for repair The technician could not fix the stove in fact the stove which was working but could not be regulated completely stopped working. We were charged $421 . Took us 5 months to get a refund after many many hours on the phone . Everytime we called it took us over an hour to get the right person who could possibly help us . I would not recommend sears to anyone. I am sorry.

Sears is used by America home shield for appliance repairs. I have waited 2 months to get them to fix my dryer. First the parts ordered never arrived so they had to order a different part. After the tech finally installed the parts my dryer worked for 1 day. Another visit to order a new motor. Waited all my day for tech to install the motor, was finally informed it would be 530 after requesting to an AM appointment. Very difficult to reach to a real person , when you finally get a real person it's a call center in some third world hell hole where dryers are likely not even available. Over all I say stay away from sears home service. Awful!!
