The rep was rude. I have a broken knee and when he first came into the house he dropped a tube of something. He did not pick it up and I had to pick it up with a broken knee. Then he said he turned on the WiFi to my thermostat without asking me if I wanted that done. Which I did not because I do t know how to use that option. Now the thermostats doesn’t work and doesn’t portray the correct temperature in the house. And on top of this, it appears you’re asking me to pay more towards my service call. I paid $200 already to Cinch Home Warrenty and they are to be paying you from that deposit not me.

Updated 10/21/25: Still the worst repair ever. It has now been over 3 weeks and it's still not fixed. They are just guessing, and time just keeps going. They are suppose to come back NEXT Tuesday now and try ANOTHER part. That will be 4 weeks without a refrigerator. Oh, and the number they gave me down below is for Sears but it is IMPOSSIBLE to reach anybody. No customers service AT ALL! My review STANDS! DO NOT DO SERVICE WITH SEARS HOME REPAIR! I WOULD GIVE LESS THAN 0 STARS IF I COULD!!I AM NOT TWO WEEKS WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR AND SINCE THE REPAIR PERSON LITERALLY LOOKED UP THE REPAIR ON HIS CELL PHONE WHILE HE WAS HERE I'M NOT TOO OPTIMISTIC. THE NUMBER THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME IN THE REPLY IS TO AI..;.. NO REPRESNTATVE! i GOT ANOTHER NUMBER FROM MY HOME WARRANTY AND SPOKE WITH SOMEONE WHO CLAIMS I CAN'T SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO ACCESS TO ONE (BS!). THESE PEOPLE ARE INCOMPETANT AND CLUELESS. I WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS COMPANY AGAIN FOR REPAIR. BEWARE!!! This repair was requested via American Home Shield. Unfortunately my fridge is still not fixed. It's not cooling and the ice maker is not working. First visit he said, almost immediately that it was the compressor and it would be $1000.00. My husband said that this was insurance and he backed down and said it was a thermostat. After finally getting the part by FedEx we had him scheduled for 10-10-2025. The website estimated a 10:51 arrival time. I was getting ready for work and came out of the shower and heard a knock on the door. I had to get dressed quickly and by the time I got to the door he was going to cancel, even though he was TWO hours early and I did not get the pre-visit phone call letting me know he was coming. He stated that Sears will not let them call in advance if it is the first appointment of the day? He came in and was able to change the thermostat in about 15 minutes and said the ice maker should start to work when the unit cools off. After 4 hours it is as hot as it was when he left. Now I have to wait again! Probably should have replaced the compressor he said it needed to start with, I'd say.

Came out 4 times and still didn’t fix my refrigerator. Technicians are incompetent and tell you they can’t fix it before they even attempt. They set up appointments and never show up. Terrible service and no customer service.

Got service through my home warranty and was rescheduled the first day due to no technicians in my area and then rescheduled again on the second day for same reason but wasn’t cancelled until 230 on the service day with the time frame of appointment being 8-5. Very unprofessional and didn’t even call me, it was the AI texting who contacted me

My parents bought a Maytag dishwasher from the Sears store in Danville, Ky in 2023. They purchased the 5 year extended warranty. In December 2024, they realized it was leaking water below. It caused damage to their hardwood floor, leaked through the ceiling in the basement. My parents have had multiple technicians come to the house to fix the problem. It keeps leaking. They have also scheduled at least 20 service calls with them. Out of these 20 plus appointments, they have only come 8 times. Each time you schedule the appointment you have to be available from 8am-5pm. Cancellations were always after 5pm or just minutes before 5pm. They have ordered the same parts multiple times. Technicians have also told them it needs to be replaced but Sears has yet to do so. We are now going on 8 months and the problem still has not been resolved. My elderly parents have had to hand wash all their dishes for the past 8 months. A replacement should have been given and they refuse to do so. We will NEVER purchase from Sears again.

I’m totally confused… I purchased the warranty but it was going to cost 400 to clean a drain !!!! My husband said no thanks we will go get a steamer and fix. Very unhappy!

Johnny did a great job but the overall experience with Sears was awful. We bought the refrigerator at Lowe’s but the extended warranty was through Sears which was a nightmare that resulted in us not having working refrigerator for over a month. It took that long for them to figure out what the problem was. 4 technicians came for repair over the time period. Two parts ordered that were bent that ended up in the trash can. Other parts ordered that were not even needed that also ended up in the trash. Appointments would randomly get canceled by email and I had to reschedule several times. Absolutely horrible customer service and I’ll Never purchase a major appliance from a big box store again. I pray this repair works. It’s been a long month.

Jonny , tried installing the replacement part and was unsuccessful , the electrical circuit broke couple of times . The burner which was working but couldn't be regulated was still usable. Jonny was not able to put it back to its old state and said" you weren't using it anyway" . Mentioned we would get a refund as it could not be fixed . I am hoping for a full refund . Now the only option is to buy a new cook top . He also did not stick the stove back to the counter and the cook top unit is loose . This experience was not good . I felt I wasted my money for the non refundable diagnostics . After 2 weeks I had to call to get the refund for the prepaid amount . I wish sears would have returned all the money.
