Lack of communication. I didn't know until after his arrival what time of his arrival. While there I wasn't able to leave work to meet him on such short notice and ask what the specific problem was or discuss terms of payment of any. The service was great. Just not knowing or being there at all made me uncomfortable.

Service tech didn’t diagnose problems. Was quick to point out something else. Said to replace would cost $1000. Felt like he just wanted to get $129 and go. Samsung washer.

For my $129, the website says I'd get a call from the technician with a chance to show the issue. Did not happen. Tech was here a risk of about 10 minutes. Quoted a $160 Part that COULD have been ordered ahead of time was going to take 1 week for over $400 in ADDITIONAL fees for a simple plug-and play component that is a readily known issue on my Maytag... I don't mind paying a little for convenience and service... but this is highway robbery! I should have known better. Owners response was to have ME call them??? Really? Customer service at its worst. If truly interested they would order part, charge a REASONABLE price, and install without charging any more service fee.

The repairman was great. However, I needed to get back in touch with sears after the original schedule was set. It was virtually impossible to reach a human being to converse with. After an hour and numerous attempts I finally got transferred around to a person with broken English who obviously was reading a script and had no idea how to help in any other way. If it weren't so difficult to find anyone localy that works on appliances I would say I would never use them again.

The service tech 5*, was very polite and knowledgeable. He came prepared. As far as Sears Appliance Repair, 1*. I am disappointed. The 1st. tech came a few weeks earlier. He said my ice maker was bad. He was correct. But he didn't have one on his truck. ( today's service tech had several). This ice maker is used for several different models. This is a part that I had to pay for in advance $184.35. It would be sent to me and It was. It was ordered by SAR through Amazon for $58.50. Amazon sent the receipt in the box to me. I paid $249.95 labor to install the ice maker a total of $434.30. I know and expect companies to make money but this is a little to much. It's funny to day's Tech had the exact ice maker on his truck for less money $41.53 less. I also think SAR goes overboard on all the text and emails. many days I'd get 1 or 2 over and over. Update9/2/2024. I get a message from Sears Appliance Repair to contact them about my 1* review. If any other customer gets a message like this, Don't waste your time. I just did and all you get is automated messages "press 1. press 2 Ect. over and over. No person to speak to. I think it is just to make it look like they care on the internet. If they want me they can call me!

Would give a 0 because he Did not resolve the situation my dryer still doesn’t work the technician was here looking at it then my son had to leave with my dad for a. Job interview and the technician called me said he had to leave because no one was there at the age of 18 well there was he had to leave for a minute
