Subject: Formal Complaint – Unacceptable Technician Conduct and Ongoing Washer Issues Dear GE Appliances and Sears Repair, I am writing to formally document and express my strong dissatisfaction with the ongoing situation regarding the GE washer I purchased, and more specifically, the unacceptable conduct and service we received during the most recent repair visit. On March 28, 2025, my daughter, who has already lost multiple days of income due to this matter—was forced to take another full unpaid day off to accommodate your scheduled repair window (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). The technician arrived after 3:00 p.m., in the seventh hour of that window, and spent less than 20 minutes actually in the home. My daughter’s mistake with the last repairman was ensuring the floor was clean and dry. Regarding this visit, despite my daughter running a full load in advance to clearly demonstrate the ongoing leak on the floor so the technician could see there was a clear issue, the technician chose to ignore that there was a leak, even as he left. The technician chose to run only a quick wash cycle. After explaining this in detail to GE and the technicians, we continue to fall on deaf ears. A quick cycle does not adequately stress the system. The floor was visibly wet from the leak, and he even requested a towel to kneel on due to the water—yet he dismissed the issue entirely and insisted the broken part he identified was unrelated to the leak and actually laughed at her telling her there was nothing wrong and no reason he could find why it would be leaking and had her sign for the part he was ordering. When my daughter explained that a proper diagnostic should include a regular or heavy-duty cycle with clothes, the technician became aggressive and dismissive, telling her she “wasn’t a technician” and had no place telling him how to do his job. She told him it doesn’t leak on a quick load. He repeatedly cut her off during her explanations. My daughter has hearing loss, naturally speaks loud, and she kept try to talk as he was talking over her and the situation became so loud and hostile. Her fiancé who was in another room listening (the technician didn’t know there was another individual on hand listening) had to intervene. The technician then stormed out of the home saying that HE didn’t have to spoken to and yelled at after he instigated the issue. He then sat in his vehicle for approximately 15 minutes and ultimately left. His behavior was unprofessional, condescending, and outright disrespectful. My daughter attempted to explain the importance of running the machine under realistic load conditions—especially given this is the third visit and we are still dealing with a washer that leaks from the bottom. Instead, she was talked down to, ignored, and made to feel unsafe in her own home. She also noted unusual behavior—such as constant teeth grinding—that raised questions about whether this individual was fit to be in customers’ homes. This experience is unacceptable. We do not want this technician back in our home under any circumstances. At this stage, we have: • A washer that has leaked from the bottom since day one • A dryer that now takes over two hours to dry a standard load • Three technician visits, none of which have resolved the issue • Multiple days of lost income for my daughter • A documented case of rude and potentially unsafe technician conduct We are requesting the following: 1. Immediate replacement of both the washer and dryer with higher-quality models OR 2. Full removal of both appliances and a complete refund of $2,164.98

Not sure how they have all the good reviews showing after looking up how people feel about them...thinking the reviews are as big of a scam as they are. Ive been trying to get a refrigerator fixed for 3 months. They lie about coming out and they lie about being out to fix it. You have to give a star to review but imagine being without a refrigerator for 3 months because it's under factory warranty still and the factory calling someone out to fix it for 3 months and never getting it fixed....almost 4 months without a fridge
Customer service response - We apologize for the trouble you've faced. This is not the experience we want for our customers. Please contact us at searshomeservices.com or call 1-800-469-4663 so we can assist you further. Thank you for your patience.

UPDATED. Allowed sufficient time for repair to take effect and cool refrigerator and it still is not working correctly. Threw away about $100 worth of perishables and there’s zero compensation for loss despite trusting the technician’s claim that the appliance was repaired. Would not recommend. Also given no choice for scheduling. Just received a text that said would arrive on a specific day. Had to cut vacation a day short to be certain that we were home to meet the repairman. Very dissatisfied.
Customer service response - Thank you for acknowledging our quick and knowledgeable service. We appreciate your feedback on scheduling and will work towards improving it.
