Repair tech was great, company not so much.
Pedro did a great job when he came out. He troubleshot the machine quickly, put the parts on order, and when he came back out, installed them quickly and got our machine up and running. The business, though...no so much. The timeline they give you is 8am-5pm, so you have to take an entire day off to facilitate their timelines. On top of that, they were a no-call/no-show 3 times. They would regularly cancel on the day of the appointment at around 5pm, and then not show up for the next appointment either. On top of that, it's all AI. There is NO human you can talk to to resolve issues with scheduling. Overall, I would not recommend them as a provider. However, as the title states, the actual tech they sent out did a great job. Pedro deserves a 5/5, but the issues with the business dropped the overall score to 3/5.

Dear Sears Customer Service Team, I am writing to share feedback regarding my overall experience with your organization and customer service (not about Technician Matthew in specific), about the broader service process. Overall Experience: My interactions with Sears have left me deeply disappointed. It was evident throughout that customer service is not a priority for the organization. The scheduling process failed to account for the significant adjustments I had to make to my work schedule just to be available for technician visits. Reaching a live representative was extremely difficult due to persistent AI interruptions. On the rare occasions I managed to speak with someone and requested an escalation, I was promised a response within 48 hours—but no follow-up ever came. Detailed Issues: Appointment Scheduling: I repeatedly requested a 4-hour appointment window due to my work obligations, but was consistently offered only full-day windows. As someone living alone, this made it nearly impossible to manage both professional and personal responsibilities. Customer Service Access: Attempts to reach customer service were routinely redirected to automated systems/AI, making it nearly impossible to have a meaningful or solution-oriented conversation. Repair Timeline and Cancellations: The repair process took an unacceptable 65 days. I scheduled 27 appointments, of which 22 were canceled by the AI system without explanation. On multiple occasions, I waited at home all day only to learn later that the visit had been canceled. This resulted in a significant loss of vacation days and income. Microwave Replacement Recommendation Ignored: During the initial visit, the technician was made aware that the microwave—being 12 years old—had exceeded its lifecycle and I recommended replacement. Had my advice been followed, it would have avoided five technician visits, reduced the total costs, and saved considerable time. The repair ultimately cost twice as much as a new microwave.

System not fixed When outside temperature above 80 degrees, system won't cool below 75-76 even with thermostat set at 68. When outside temperature is below set point of thermostat it will cool to the set point but the system will not turn off. When last checked it continued running for over three hours, after the set point had been reached, until I turned it off. Furthermore, it is making a loud grinding noise that is gradually getting worse. We have two AC systems and the other is virtually silent by comparison. This is getting old. You've tried twice to fix it, have charged us over $600, and it still is not working properly.

I bought my Sears Tractor after having 1 for more than 24 years with little or no problem! Now this 8 or 9 year old tractor has cost me close to $700 in 3 visits and it still broke! Replaced 1 belt & less than 20 days I have another broken belt! Was told it was the "other belt"! Sears sets appointments between 8 & 5! 9 hour window! I was told he would be here at 2:39pm. He shows up at 4:50 & we had a grandkid birthday party to attend! When I tried the tractor the next day, it will not go into reverse! I texted the tech with no reply! I've spent more money on this Sears tractor than it is worth & it is still broken! I need another visit & I think it should be covered by Sears!

He seemed to be okay. When he was finished however a comment was made but I didn't know if he was talking to or the person he was finishing up a conversation with. So I don't know if I should be doing something else also as far as the repair goes.

He was nice and professional. However he found nothing wrong with the ac but when its over 80 degrees outside the ac will not hold temp. I get alerts on my thermostat that says its been cooling for the past 4 hours and increased in temperature by 3 degrees. So it just continuously runs. The outside temp was only 69 degrees outside today so of course the ac wasn't struggling. This is the 2nd time sears has been out here with no fix. I don't understand because I get so many alerts throughout the summer that there is something wrong with my ac. So I am disappointed that there was no fix.

Could not find the problem. Would not install heating element even though that was the problem of not heating. It just started heating again. Waiting for it to stop again

Leaking furnace
Tech sent txt he was on his way. Showed up nearly 2 hrs later. Looked at furnace and said he thought the primary and secondary heating elements were leaking. He said he was not allowed to do that repair and it would take nearly four hours and it's too late anyway. The said someone else would have to come back out. This means we will have to take more time off work. Not pleased

Refrigerator
My fridge wasn't cooling, CHOICE HOME WARRANTY sent someone on Nay 1st from appliance. Apparently the estimate was too high so theysent sears, Jamal stated that 2 parts were needed, waited another week for Jamal too return. He then stated only 1 part was needed and installed it. This did not help the issue. Meanwhile we only had part of our fridge cooling. You then sent someone else who stated that the Fan, previously not installed by Jamal, WAS needed and re-ordered. After almost one month to the day our fridge was finally fixed. The second tech did a great job. But our overall experience with A&E, or Sears was not very rewarding. Bill Davis
