Our service technician was great. He was friendly and got his job done quickly. Sears Appliance Repair, however, has got to change the way they conduct their business. They sent a text cancelling my appointment for 6/25 because they said the part that was ordered wouldn't arrive in time, but it had actually already arrived. I had no number to call and let them know this. You can only talk to via AI! On 7/9, no one ever came to the appointment! The company gives you an arrival window between 8a- 5pm, and it wasn't until 3:15 that I discovered on my own that no one was coming. I wasted that entire day waiting for no one to arrive! On 7/17, I was given the window of 8-5 again. The tech did come around 3:45 and completed the repair. While I am satisfied with the tech and his ability to complete the repair, I would not recommend using this company until they can improve their customer service.

Our experience with these guys has been so frustrating. We purchased the home warranty plan which means you have to select a rather innocuous link to schedule appointments or the tech comes out and tells you he can’t service the appliance because you used the wrong site. Then you wait even longer to schedule an appointment and the very same guy comes out. We would have one guy come out he would “fix” something only to have it not work. Another guy comes out and tells us the first guy didn’t know what he was doing. They basically ended up totally rebuilding our washing machine. Now we have a problem with a 3 yr old GE Cafe Dishwasher. Again, with the home warranty plan it takes longer to get the very same tech as if you didn’t have the plan (two weeks). The guy comes out, says he fixed it by cleaning out the filter and the pressure switch only to have the unit work even less than it did before. No water pressure in the washer. And with the Sears Home Warranty program, I get to pay $50 a month for this quality service.

I didn't like that i had to pay $125.00 for him to tell me i need a belt and it wasn't on his truck he was going to have to order it,and cost was going to be $400.00 ,I declined and paid him$125. Shocking my head. The service man was very nice.

We contacted Sears for a garbage disposal repair in our sink. We paid the technician $320 for a part that was to be installed at a later date. The technician kept delaying the installation because the part never arrived. We canceled the installation but did not receive a refund. We contacted customer service on numerous occasions and they either: 1) never called back 2) transferred us ad nauseum (I believe I was transferred to 10 different people in various parts of the world), or 3) couldn’t find the order. When they finally found the order, they said it was under “analysis” in the billing department. I have never experienced such lousy customer service. I would give 0 stars if possible. Below, you will see Sears respond and saying we should call the same number that is staffed by a plethora of unhelpful customer service representatives. Run, don’t walk, from anything associated with Sears.

UPDATE: Finally received the refund check on 12/23/2024 but took much longer than promised. We had issues with their service from the get go. 1st appointment was canceled by them at the last minute. The rescheduled appointment to look at our washer, tech determined we needed a pump ordered so we had to pre pay for the parts plus service call. At time of install, different tech determined we needed a different part to make the repair but we declined due to costs, so they have confirmed in an email from October 16th, they owe us just under $300 for returned parts we paid for. They said a refund check would take 7-21 business days to receive it. NEVER received the check. When you call, you get the run around, nobody will help us. I’ve replied to the email twice now with no response. Clearly, not good customer service, tech service and not a good company to do business with unless you want to be ripped off.
