Technician “Bell” did the job fine (I guess). He had trouble getting the bottom element out of the oven and seemed frustrated. He asked for a fan, which I got for him, and that was fine. When he finished he told me that I could take care of the large box that the element came in and the getting rid of the old element. I asked “you don’t take the box?” He said no we don’t take any parts and walked out the door. I was a little shocked because he had turned the oven on but didn’t wait to make sure it got up to temperature. I didn’t even have a chance to thank him. So I cleaned up and turned the oven off and went back to work. Hopefully everything is working fine. I don’t think I will call Sears Homes Services again.

I bought a new LG microwave from Lowe’s in Dec of 2024. By March it failed to stop heating and I called CHW for the repair. First technician misdiagnosed the issue and I waited almost a month and a half for the wrong part to show up. He came back, installed it only to find out it didn’t work. Ordered the right part, wait two months to get it and another week and a half for a service call. Right part gets installed and the microwave works 3 weeks and then has the same issue. Tech comes out, orders parts, I’m another month and a half waiting for them to come in, they arrive, wait two weeks for a service call only for the part to NOT fix the issue. It’s then, after roughly more than 6 months without a microwave they then decide to replace it.

We still have the same problem.Set thermostat on 70. Temperature in the house is 74. Something is wrong and it wasn't fixed. You need to send someone out that will trouble shoot the problem.

Paid $129 to have my wife told that the dryer needs a new cord. He can put one on if we have one, but he doesn't have one, and Sears Appliance Repair apparently has no way of obtaining one themselves. Ridiculous. Useless. Waste of time and money. Update: dryer no longer heats properly, this was never a problem before. I'm out $129 for Sears to take my dryer apart then tell me it's the cord, $35 for a cord that I changed myself in five minutes, and now I have to pay someone else to fix what Sears broke.

The technicians they sent were fine; my rating is NOT about them. My service was just a simple yet inaccessible LED lightbulb that went out on my nearly new LG microwave (no explanation WHY). My huge disappointment is with the inability of Sears Appliance Repair to allow me to speak with a human on the phone or by text regarding my service. There was confusion about the part(s) that were ordered, then on backorder for a long, long time, then two of one part arrived for some reason but my order still listed another part on backorder. Looking online, it looked identical to the part that had arrived, but had a different part number. I am no expert, though, so assumed the other part was needed. A two minute call with a knowledgeable human could have resolved the issue, but instead my repair was delayed for months awaiting the other part, which turned out NOT to be needed. Too bad the Sears brand name is tarnished by this impersonal service. AI is great in some situations but not this one. Companies should ALWAYS have a way to talk to a human.

I believe the technician did a good job replacing the control board but we still have the same issue with the sound that led to the board damage. It sounds like a creeky sound when the dishwasher is turned on.

Horrible service! I paid for my washer and dryer to be serviced. Sears technician advised me to wait for a part to come in for my washer before servicing my dryer. It took 60 days for them to locate 2 parts and get them mailed to me. By that time sears said they could no longer service my dryer because it was pass 30 days. Will not use again!

I am unbelievably frustrated after reporting my washer broken in DECEMBER. It's still not fixed today. I called the Sears number to request compensation and a refund for my policy agreement, which they are clearly not living up to, and instead of a refund, I ended up with a person telling me they canceled my policy (which was supposed to be good for several more years) there was nothing they could refund me, and nothing they could do about it. WHAT? This was after months of "rescheduled" appointments by the system and waiting for a service appointment that never arrived. I have had a Sears policy for nearly 20 years on one item or another, and I can't believe this is how it ends. I was told a supervisor would call me and "fix the problem". No call. Weeks have passed, and nothing. This is definitely not worth the money. Sears can no longer be trusted.
