I pay a monthly service fee and a per incident fee. After two visits and products delivered and put on my machine. I still had to go to home depot and purchase a piece so that the new pieces would fit. This process is less than satisfactory. I pay for a service for a piece of mind that my problems will be solved. Unfortunately this is not what happened.

Took off work to wait for the dryer to be repaired. Sears canceled and wants to reschedule for the next day. You can’t trust them to show up. Plus their diagnostic fee is $100 higher than other 5 star repair services. I cancelled the service with Sears and went with a local repair guy who owns his own company. Less than $165 dollars and the dryer was fixed. Sears estimated the repair was going to cost around $385. This isn’t your reputable Sears store. Look elsewhere.

technician did absolutely nothing not even an estimate. We had a power outage the night before resetting the the refrigerator touch pad of the codes .he found nothing wrong . I had explained to him this issue has occurred before and that the code would reset within 24 hrs. Next day the failure code appeared on the touch pad again . But now I paid for a service call for nothing for a so called repairman who did nothing

I have successfully dealt with the Sears Repair service for over 25 years and this was the worst experience I have ever had. The cost of this visit was a COMPLETE waste of money. After two days of going through totally inept scheduling on Sears part, I finally get a Technician who was equally a waste of my time. He comes to my house, no introduction (still do not know his name) and in my opinion, gave the impression he did not want to be there. I wanted to have our ice maker looked at because it stopped dispensing ice through the door. Also, the refrigerator was making a terrible noise down by the motor and I wanted a diagnostic check done. Well,it was a challenge for technician to determine what the problem was with ice maker (won't go into that now) and came up with a repair price of over $500, half of which would have been labor. Not fixing it. As far as the noise, he looked down in the back by the motor, yes it's running and everything looks okay. I guess I thought a diagnostic would involve a little more scrutiny. Based on how extremely difficult it was to try and schedule, get accurate updates and being able to have access to a live person to have a technician come out, Sears has lost my business. The technician sealed the deal not to come back. Addendum to above: Sears responded with their conciliatory statement and gave a customer service number to contact. It was AGAIN, an automated system with no option to talk to a live person. Tried responding to the email, couldn't do that. Tried going on the referenced website, no option to file a complaint. I will tell anyone that is even thinking about using Sears about my experience with them and hope they make a better decision that I did.

This was a very uncomfortable customer service experience. Nathan was not professional. I had to stop him from just walking into my home and ask him to cover his shoes. He rolled his eyes and huffed about it like an annoyed toddler. At the end of the service he called to me through my screen door to come to the door because “I’m not coming back in there if I have to cover my shoes.” So after putting Freon in the outside unit, he never came back inside to check if the air was working properly. He just told me it should work after I close the windows. He “told” me that I covered my AC unit. I had to tell him twice that I do not. Then he told me there was a leak in the unit but did not attempt to find the leak. Which was unexpected. Instead, he put an additive in the unit to stop the leak and now I have to have someone come out and find this leak so that next year I don’t have the same issue. I was very put off by his demeanor. It was not “customer friendly” at all. It was as if he was irritated at having to deal with doing the repair. I don’t know if he was having a bad day, but that’s not my problem to know that. We all have bad days, we shouldn’t be bringing that attitude to the job. Especially in the customer service industry. Because of him, I probably won’t use Sears again.

Such a pathetic service by Sears. You have removed all humans and just work with automated systems where no one can talk to, to explain the situation that no one was going to be home for another hour. At least tech should have called when my phone number was already provided to them. All I kept getting is automated systems with ZERO human interaction possibilities. Get real guys!
