Sears Appliance Repair fixed our KitchenAid dishwasher (not cleaning the top rack dishes) and refrigerator (leak coming from inside near the water filter). The appliances were tested and diagnosed during the first visit. The tech identified the issue with the refrigerator fairly quickly and ordered parts. After running many tests on the dishwasher, the tech told us to change our soap, make sure the filter is clean at all times, run hot water in the kitchen sink before starting the dishwasher cycle, and that newer dishwashers just don't clean as well as old ones (our dishwasher cleaned the dishes well before we started having an issue). After a week of trying all of the above and still having dirty dishes, I asked for a new tech to look at the dishwasher again. The new tech quickly identified that the dishwasher needed a new motor and ordered the part. The motor was installed and the dishwasher works great now. I believe the first tech was trying to rush at the end of the day to get out of our house and did not take the time to diagnose every possible solution for our dishwasher. In the end, our appliances work and we are happy.

The serviceman did a great job onsite and fixed Refrigerator pretty quickly. I have some concerns about how scheduling is handled as it took a bit of time and effort to nail the service date nailed down.

My home warranty company scheduled with Sears Appliance Repair after the original contractor failed to repair my dishwasher. They automatically scheduled us for Thursday between 8AM - 5PM. This was not a problem since I was working from home. Around 11 AM on Thursday I got a notification my appointment was canceled and needed to be rescheduled and provided 4 different dates. So I choose the following day. At 3PM I received a call from the technician PHUOC B. stating that I needed to call in and reschedule my appointment because I lived way out there and he didn’t want to work late. I attempted to get a hold of a live agent to submit a complaint with the company but they only offer AI customer service options. Not only do I feel as thought my time has been disrespected but the fact that I was not able to get in contact with anyone with a heartbeat is concerning. As of 4PM he has called stating that he is on his way to look at my dishwasher but seemed upset that the cancellation I put in did not go through. I will not be recommending this service to anyone regardless of the outcome of the repairs. My recommendation is to look at literally any other company.
