I'm not sure straightening the vent hose and cleaning out some lint is worth an extra $50 on top of the $129. Price reasonable until the 50 bucks was added.

Quick replacement of icemaker, only a week after an appointment made when 1st visit came without the part that I was told would be brought!!! No part so scheduled an installation after setting 3 day later appointment which was totally forgotten so I had to schedule another a week later!!!!!!!!

Washing machine wouldn’t turn on, and the first Sears HS technician had ordered one part of control board. When Phuoc came out to install the part ordered by the other guy, and it didn’t fix the machine, he said it would need the other part of the control board, which he ordered and scheduled a date to come back to install both parts. Later, Phuoc determined it could be the display touch screen assembly, and ordered that part, set another date to install… Finally, the last part did the trick and I have a working washing machine! Every time Phuoc came to the house, he was very pleasant and efficient, and his manner, even light humor, made an uncomfortable situation better. The washer was covered by extended warranty and that Lowe’s warranty company (Assurant) contracted Sears HS to do the repairs. Each time, they have to go through a process to authorize requests and set new appointments, and troubleshooting doesn’t just happen in one visit when you can only get a piece at a time. It took over a month and several appointments, and that was very frustrating! If I tried to talk to an actual human being through Sears HS, AI automated system would shuffle me through a circle to nowhere and eventually hang up on me, I could never reach a person by phone. And they use AI for scheduling, and require a ridiculous 9-hour-window, between 8am-5pm, the day of your appointment, you have to be ready for them to show up at any time in that 9 hours! I give the technician, Phuoc, 5 stars for how he handles the work professionally, efficiently, and with good humor. But as for Sears Home Services, as a company, you could do better, I would rate the company a 2 at best. So, for Google review, the company’s [heavy] 2 stars and the technician, Phuoc’s 5 stars, average 3 stars for me.

The tech was friendly but didn't seem as knowledgable as maybe he should have. The first experience he fixed the issue. A year later the machine sounded like it was full of marbles when spinning. He came out and tilted the machine over and hand spun the barrel. Sat it up ran it through a cycle and no noise. Two days later the same racket so this time I took a video. He came back out and listened to the machine but with no clothes in there only water it didn't make a racket. Thank goodness I had a video of the machine sounding like it was gonna fall apart otherwise I don't think he would have believed me. In the end he put in a request for a different machine because we had an extended warranty. Now we wait to see how much we end up having to pay because the insurance company will only give us a current value for replacement. Truthfully I don't think he knows what was wrong with the machine and probably didn't want to tear it apart to find out. The other part that was kind of weird he walked through my one level home and admired my decorations looking around. Looked inside my little refrigerator I have for my grandchild's drinks and asked if he could have one. I just find that odd. But of course I said yes. Last time he came out I had a friend with me so I didn't feel uncomfortable. Sears was of very little help. They only have Puhoc as their only repairman. Shame on you Sears for being so cheep to not have other repairmen to assist!!!!

I really liked my tech. He was thorough and honest, but the whole process was not customer friendly. You don't get a time of arrival until that morning. And then it was 3 hours or more off of the scheduled arrival. The whole payment and checkout was cumbersome to the point I need to watch my credit card statement to make sure I didn't get a duplicate or overcharged. I would NOT use this service again. I wanted to try it, hoping for the best, but it's not customer friendly. Also the tech, came through my garage as the door was open and knocked on my garage door, vs coming to the front door and ringing the bell. His comment was the garage door was open. That doesn't mean you knock and make me open the door not knowing who is on the other side. No thank you Sears.

This would make the 3rd time to have you guys come out. As the first 2 were no shows. Then when he did come and assessed the situation he immediately told me a plumber needs to fix it. I still don't have a dishwasher. The experience all the way around was poor.

Nice guy, but dish washer didn't get put back together all the way and problem didn't get fixed. It ended not draining and orig problem stayed the same or got worse. Had to schedule another service call.
