My rating is based upon the price. Coordination, scheduling, repair time, the technician, everything went smoothly. But to charge $310 in labor for a 20 minutes repair is beyond ridiculous. This is why people buy new - it just doesn’t pay to have something fixed anymore. I would not have proceeded with that transaction. I would have paid the diagnostic fee then fixed it myself, but unfortunately I was not home and the decision was made without me. Really wish the tech spoke with me instead.

My rating is on the business as a whole. I would give the tech who finally showed up with 5 stars. But my appt was rescheduled three times, there was an issue with the part, and the Sears website and customer service numbers give you no way to talk with a real person to resolve issues.

Three different technicians came to my home on 4 different visits. The first one diagnosed the problem and said a part was needed and they would call for a second appointment when the part came in. Over a month went by and no call back. So we had to call again to reschedule. The second technician came out and had no notes about the A/C needing a part. So again, a part was recommended. This the different tech over nighted the part and made an appointment for two days later. Keep in mind appointments last all day, meaning you have to be available from 8am-5pm and you don't know exactly when they will arrive. So I stated I wouldn't be available in the afternoon. Tech said, no problem, I'll come in the AM. No one came until I had to leave in the afternoon, so again ANOTHER appointment was made. This time my husband had to stay home. Finally the tech came, fixed the issue. Who has the time or money to take off 4 days for an issue that should have taken two? I'm glad ultimately everything was fixed and all the technicians were extremely polite, knowledgeable and respectful but there is a serious communication breakdown happening somewhere.
