The repair tech, Chris, discovered the outlet the water softener was plugged into did not work. I had agreed to a 129.95 price. Chris did not inform me that checking the circuit breaker would cost an additional $70. I will never use Sears Service again.

The technician was okay, but the fact that they couldn't do a line reset was frustrating. Our home warranty company was who sent Sears Home Services, we did not choose them. The repair technician knew on the first day what the problem probably was. She then said that she would have to make a follow-up appointment. Scheduled it for over a week and half later. Luckily we got a link asking us to make it sooner so we did. She came back out and told us the line had a leak but then alluded to the fact that the next repair person could fix it, she just couldn't. We assumed that meant through Sears Home Services. So we called to make an appointment for them to do that. Called her back on her personal phone because we couldn't reach a live person at the actual company and she said no, they don't do line resets. So we had to pay $100.00 service call for an HVAC repair person that couldn't fix the problem. Also had issues with the payment where they kept asking us to provide payment info multiple times. We paid the $100.00 the day prior to them showing up the first time online like asked. It was pending. technician arrived and then asked us to pay again. I told them we already paid. She said she just needed to take signature for the payment on file. So husband signed again and it was still pending. The night before the follow-up we got another link to pay another $100.00 fee which I was not going to pay since it was a follow-up from the previous service that still wasn't fixed. technician arrived and didn't need to take payment since it was already paid the few days earlier. Received a receipt from the company for the service, showing that we paid the $100.00 and that no balance was due. 2 weeks later we get a bill in the mail saying we had a $100.00 balance and that if not paid within 45 days from service they were sending it to collections. Not sure what is wrong with their payment processing system, but we paid multiple times, signed in person but they didn't process it after service was complete and then threaten us with collections. Very unprofessional and payments still pending. I think they have an issue with their payment processing system but you cant reach a person to talk to them only and AI appointment system.

First appointment they were late by 5 hours, causing us to wait unnecessarily for the tech to be in the house 10 minutes and didn’t even touch the fridge. In the last appointment they came on time but they send a new tech that had to be on the phone with the previous tech asking what to do. Waste of everyone else’s time. When I asked for a number to call in case the repair was unsuccessful the tech referred me to another company.

Found that refrigerator needed to be defrosted to see if it would work Didn’t check filter Just said I needed a new panel Cost: 775.00 A waste of money And wasn’t sure defrosting wouldn’t be the solution Nice guy Bad service
