Peter updated the estimated time of arrival. Called 20 minutes before arriving. Introduced himself before entering my home. Explained the challenge with the repair. Talked with my insurance company to assure the solution would be covered and fixed the issue with my thermostat. I would use this service again.

I was happy the first time he came out, inspected the fridge, and ordered parts for another guy to come and install them. That other guy never came to install them and had to go back and forth with phone calls through Costco and Kenmore since July 11th. Ultimately Kenmore scheduled an appointment for August 15th from the time frame of 8 am - 12 pm. He calls me around 10 am saying he would arrive at 1:30 pm. I received a text around 2 pm that he would arrive soon and ended up arriving after 2:30. When I scheduled the appointment through Kenmore, I expected this repairman to arrive at this time frame of 8 am-12 pm because I had to go to work. I have to request specific hours at work or lose my hours because of him coming late. It is an inconvenience, you guys did not send someone who spoke Spanish to better assist my parents as I am the only English speaker in this household that can translate. This guy's English is hard to understand coming from a native English speaker like me. It was rude for him to tell my mother "Are you recording me?' She was doing a Google translation through her because I was not around to translate. This guy was the SOLE PERSON who ordered the parts that got delivered almost a month ago and said to my parents "They ordered too many parts!". Hello? You literally ordered the parts a month ago. You didn't even write down any notes to let Kenmore what was going on and I had to update both Kenmore and Costco on the situation for a month now. My father ultimately got frustrated and sent him away because we expected him in the morning and not in the afternoon, everyone had to go to work. Happy Kenmore is giving us the money back to buy a new fridge. I would never use Sears Home Services ever again. This problem should've been resolved back in July.

Very upset with the way this service has gone

The water heater at the time of the original service, was under the Sears Master Protection Plan. The service was done on June 6, 2023. The service was supposed to be an annual maintenance check up. When the technician arrived our water heater was working without any problems. However, on June 7th we no longer had hot water. Whatever was done by the technician on June 6th, caused the water heater to malfunction. NOTHING was wrong with our water heater prior to this service. I immediately called Sears on June 7th and explained to them that they needed to send someone immediately to repair the water heater because we had no hot water. After being on the phone with them for close to 3.5 hours, and 11 different reps, I was told nothing could be sent to the technician unless I made another appointment because the original ticket had been closed. I insisted they get someone out here immediately, but instead they scheduled an appointment for June 13th, which I explained to them we would not be in town. They told me they had to make an appointment in order to be able to communicate with the dispatch department because the original ticket had been closed, and that this way they could note on the appointment to dispatch someone sooner. Well NOTHING they told me on the phone happened as explained! There was NO communication for any earlier appointment, and therefore no technician came out to repair the water heater prior to June 12th, which was our date of departure. When we returned, I called to have them come back to fix our water heater, and the soonest date they could give us was July 11th. The technician came out on the 11th, and established that parts were needed for the repair. He ordered parts. The technician returned on July 17th, replaced the parts, thought things were going to work, and that evening we no longer had hot water AGAIN!!! We called back for them to send someone because it still was not working, and the soonest they could do was July 24th.
