It took a month and 3 appointments with various repair persons to receive the part needed to fix my clothes dryer. The repair person who was finally assigned to fix the dryer was successful in ordering the part and having it successfully delivered. Sears is a contractor for American Home Shield Insurance which apparently, does not allow their contractors to purchase parts on their own. AHS requires the contractor to order the parts and send the part to the homeowner directly. This practice delayed the simple repair of installing a dryer belt. I was without a dryer for a month!!! .

So we had a repair guy come out 3 times for our Samsung washer, which is making a high pitched noise on the final 20 minutes of each wash cycle. First day, tech diagnoses it as the pump. He orders it, says it will take a week for the part, rescheduled. He comes one week later (part arrived Tuesday, his apt was friday) and replaced said pump. I ran a wash after he left, same problem as before. I went online, made another apt. 3rd times a charm right? A younger tech came. Our apt time was between 8am-12. He came almost 2 hours late late and i received no notification of the delay. He looked at it, asked me about a wifi patch, and asked me about the soap we use. I downloaded the patch over a year ago, and also only use detergent listed as correct type. 7 never use bleach or softener. He told me the sound was weird. He told me it was the softener dispenser, which we never use and is not hooked to a hose anywhere on the machine. Its literally a plastic bin.. So I asked him if he could fix. He told me add vinegar to the wash. It did nothing. So 3 repair appointments, a partial bill for the services that luckily the extended warranty covers and no solution. Ive had no one check back after filling out the email questionnaire as to whether my problem was fixed or not. And I'm hesitant to make yet another apt and have them tell me "thats weird, I dunno".

Their automated system will be the death of an already dying company. It was impossible to get anything done. You call the number and you can only speak to a robot and they can’t even get my name right. Can’t get a work order in, they didn’t show up at all yesterday, no one called me to let me know there was a delay. I only got a text message at 3:48pm saying tech was on his way (15 minutes down the road per the map) and ultimately I ended up with a no show yesterday. This was for a 1pm-5pm arrival window. Got a notification maybe 20 minutes after the appt and time stating I was rescheduled for the next day. It is beyond infuriating that I cannot reach anyone for assistance or answers and it’s extremely unprofessional. When they finally did show up, I got technician Frank who was very polite, had proper phone etiquette and manners, and was able to diagnose my issues. Explained everything to me in non-technical speak so I could understand the cause of the issue as well as the resolution. Got my dryer fixed in under 1 hour and was very friendly. Frank himself gets a 5/5 stars from me. Sears can shove it though.

I would give a zero if I could. It started out great - my fridge was leaking got an appointment for someone to come within 2 days(July18), communication was great, the person arrived an hour and half early but identified issue, didnt have part but ordered it and set appointment for following week(July 22) to install. A 4 hour window which is not convenient when you work esp since I had a 4 hour window for the original appt. Waited for the tech to arrive and after the tech never arrived I noticed they had change my appt to the next week(July 30) on a day I could not make it. I spent over a week in AI hell online and on the phone not able to move my appt. Finally got a number to talk to a human who said they moved my appt but I never got a confirm so called again and talked to another human who said they would move my appt - never did. Waited 4 hours on the date they chose(july30), had to miss an important meeting as no matter how many texts and emails they send saying you can change you appt, you CANNOT!! The worst is I paid $500 for the service at the first appointment and then it took a week and a half to get someone come and tell me the first tech was wrong and had to order another piece and left. I got a text saying my appointment to install this piece was Aug 9 from 8-12. It is Aug 9 at 1pm and no one has showed up - no call no text nothing. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE EVER!
