Barry called around 10 am during g the 8 am - noon window and told me he was running behind schedule and wouldn’t arrive till after lunch. We received a notification he would arrive a little after 2 pm and he did arrive. He was dressed in his Sears blue uniform and was polite and professional. He spent about one hour taking apart the lower part freezer Part and unscrewed the backing of the unit. He allowed me time to clean the bins and was patient to wait to help me install them back. He showed me the cost of repairs which would include a new compressor and total would have cost $1,300. So for $129 one hour of Barry’s time and service, he was able to get rid of the noise we were hearing. For that estimate we know we will plan to buy a new refrigerator asap before this compressor completely dies. The last compressor was installed Nov of 2018 and I bought the Kenmore Elite model in July of 2015. The 2nd compressor lasted twice as long as the original one. I was so thankful I was able to go online to book today’s appointment for the next day. I expected to wait a few weeks or a month. The price we paid was for the diagnostic and was well worth the one hour time.
