5 for great service and repair. Minus 1 for the sticker shock. Nolan arrived on time within the window and kept me informed on his ETA and throughout the repair, he talked me thru his diagnosis and showed me the proof. He was super friendly, professional, knowledgeable. Cost initially $129.00 for him to come out to diagnose and repair. Cost additionally a whopping $409.00 to repair. (With mild upsell of a monthly $50 plus warranty.) Yowza! I decided to pass on the warranty. Go with the repair. (Fyi Only a short 30-day warranty on the repair. ) while I was reeling from the cost, I also wished that Sears had outfitted the repairman with cleanup supplies, as Nolan needed to use my household towels and vacuum. Which I didn't like. Happy that Sears hires great people. Disappointed about the price gouging. Now I get why Sears is a retail ghost.

Good news:my dryer is fixed. Bad news: I have to find someone to reconnect my vent so I still can’t use my dryer. Just to be clear this is a reflection of company policy not the person who provided the service. Luckily, I have a husband who is “muy chingon” who will reconnect it for me. But what if I didn’t? I pay a monthly fee for the service plus a $100 deductible. It’s not cheap so it should be more full service.
