I would not recommend them any longer. I have been buying all of my appliances from sears for over three decades, and always had the service contracts for years. But this last service call has ended that forever. I paid quite a bit, well over $200 for 1 year and when they came out they said the repair was over the limit allowed. I had a broken shelf. The technician wasn't exactly pleasant and said because the shelf was over $70 and the drawer had a small crack and would cost over $100, there would be no repair. Since when is there a limit? I was furious. I glued the small crack, ordered the shelf for $25 on amazon and fixed it myself. It has been working great. Therefore sears has lost a very longtime loyal customer forever.

Horrific! Been trying to get our microwave fixed since August. Wrong parts were sent; orders for part not received and inability to send a technician to our zip code on a timely basis. FIVE STARS FOR RAYMOND ONLY-the tech who finally got this done. Otherwise, your system is broken and has soured us to ANY Sears related product. Shame on you with your AI only assistant!!

Last Thursday, I had a diagnostic appointment with Sears, where they provided an estimate for the repair of my refrigerator. As I am the responsible to cover the repair costs, I was required to order the necessary parts, which I did. Subsequently, I scheduled another appointment with Sears, having already received the parts at home. However, the technician informed me that they had to order the parts directly, which was not the case. Additionally, he suggested that I contact the manufacturer of the refrigerator directly, as they could not guarantee the work. I have already paid for the parts and diagnostic services. Now, I am attempting to return the parts to Sears company.

Technician showed up within timeframe. However, only quote received was for labor $319. Technician said would need to hire additional person to unstack the dryer. I asked the cost, technician didn't know. Technician stated he would google the answer for an additional person to assist in unstacking the dryer. Asked how much for parts to complete the repair, technician didn't know. He said he knew what was wrong, but he wasnt sure what was needed to complete the repair. Never even touched the dryer. After getting the 2nd i dont know, I asked to pay, went searching for my wallet to grab my card to pay. Technician tried to convince me to book a future appointment for the repair. I stated I rather pay now and if I decide to use this company for repair I would schedule an appointment. He started giving me appointment dates in which he would return. He continuously insisted on me booking an appointment after I stated I wanted to pay the $119, so he could leave. I am understanding of new hires, but I had zero confidence in him doing any repair on my equipment with the amount of uncertainty he presented.

I was not happy with the way our guy talked to us. First off, I understood the need to clarify that we would be paying the Diagnostic Fee of $119, but it seemed like he expected me to not understand that and just forget the whole thing. He was very condescending, as if we did not live in the United States all our lives. One statement really upset me, “in America we don’t call it a reset” when I got excited about the ice machine pretty much functioning when he turned the switch on after I had left it off overnight. My son was watching his very animated gestures, as if he was frustrated with the answers or responses I was giving him on the phone. I can even hear the agitation in his tone. We have used Sears repair at least two times before in our previous home, and went back to them because of our past great experiences. We may go back for any future repairs because not everyone’s perfect, but will probably ask for another technician.

Nice enough technician. Knew error code, told me approximate repair cost BEFORE coming to my home. Could have told me he didn't have the part stocked, so he couldn't fix my washing machine. Still charged me for the service call. Waste of time.
