Service tech Gary was great. Prompt text responses to coordinate diagnostic and service trips, and I was able to schedule Sears Kenmore Elite washer repair for the next business day after my call. Parts were ordered and arrived next business day, on schedule, and installed the following day. Sears has gone to AI scheduling (Samantha) which I find to be a little frustrating, but I was able to request a general time when I asked AI Samantha for that. Parts and labor are expensive, but that’s pretty much across the board these days, and home calls involve overhead—tools, fuel, vehicle, bonded insurance on the tech, insurance on the vehicle, onboard supplies, employee wages, profit…there’s a lot that gets packed into every service call besides actual labor and materials. I received authorized parts and repair for my machine. And I could not repair the machine myself, so…sticker shock, but it’s repaired and warrantied. Gary: Excellent tech and knows his stuff, very nice person. Prompt and stayed in touch leading up to the appointment. Sears is lucky to have him.
