They're not at the location I was directed to. When I called the number, got AI and wasn't able to talk to a real person.

We waited for months to get our microwave repaired. Initial visit with Sears was scheduled correctly from Assurant but went into the Sears system as payment due when repairman arrived. So that appointment was cancelled, another scheduled between Assurant and Sears the same day, and the repairman cancelled that one too without ordering any parts. It takes two weeks between appointments to get another one. When he came back, he ordered the wrong parts, so here we go waiting another THREE weeks. The parts came in within a few days of ordering but I could not get an earlier appointment. Communication is terrible! If you call Assurant, they send the info to Sears (A&E) but nothing gets done. It is impossible to talk to anyone at Sears (A&E). So we just sat and waited for our microwave to be repaired. I had Eli’s mobile # from him calling to tell me he was on his way but he never answered any texts that I sent him letting him know that the parts were here. My service calls were a window of 8-12. The online arrival system would show arrival between 9:12 and 10:16 but arrival times were much later. He did call to say that he was on his way when he left the stop before mine. Communication is key in the service industry.

WORST WORST WORST WORST SERVICE. - I WONT REFER THEM TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS OR KNOWN PEOPLE. One of the worst services i got in my life experience. Their technician i got is worst and don't have any knowledge and best possible solution to customer. Simply he came for 4 mins and charged me 647$ for nothing. Most useless service and be aware of their initial visit also. They are simply charging for no work done. NO NO NO NO to Sears Service for me. Complete Dump Team. No Knowledge on the appliances i feel. They ruined up my time and money. Simply i wasted 647$. I would suggest, dont waste your hard earned money. Instead you can buy a new one.

I don't recommend Sears for two reasons: 1. Sears technicians aren't thorough. It took 4 separate appointments with different technicians over the course of a month to get my dishwasher fixed. The first time, he barely looked at it and simply told me to clean the dishwasher. I explained that I already had cleaned it (twice actually) but he insisted that I need to clean it again. I asked for specific guidance and he shrugged and said, "google it." So I clean it a third time, per the manufacturer's instructions, and it's still broken. The second technician told me that it was broken because I wasn't using rinse aid (???) but after I begged him to actually inspect the dishwasher, he finally concluded that the entire motor needs to be replaced, so he orders a new one. Weeks later, when he was installing the motor, he accidentally broke a hose and caused a leak. He had to come back again the next day to fix it. Both times, he left my house without actually verifying that the dishwasher was actually fixed. He simply said, "sounds fixed to me" and forced me to sign the paperwork so he could leave. In summary, the technicians were reluctant to actually inspect the appliance or troubleshoot the problem. 2. Sears won't give you a specific time for your appointment. Instead, they give you a 9-hour time window (8am-5pm). So on the day of your appointment, you can't leave the house (i.e. can't go to work, can't drop your kids at school, etc.) and are trapped at your house all day waiting for the technician to show up. Update in-response to the owner’s message: I’ve been on the phone with your customer service team multiple times over the past month. My home warranty company also called multiple times. Your team has been well-aware of the issue the entire time and refused to help. Hence the public review on Google.

A technician showed up to diagnose our washer, then we had two no shows to repair it with no contact. When we tried to call to talk to a technician after the first no show, we were directed to a call center who could give us no info on the technician or who to call to make sure someone came to repair. After the second no show (we had attempted to gain assurances that someone would show up the second time but were refused info for the local repair person), we used someone else. We are now given another appointment apparently (that we did not schedule) with no ability to cancel online. We paid for parts that were delivered to our home, some of which aren’t for a washer. It seems fishy.

He was sent to the wrong address which was not his fault but then I got an email where he “signed my name” that said here is a copy of the agreement to the charges you signed with your your technician in your home today. How can I sign something when I never even meet the guy and he has never been to my home. He was trying charging Thor for my warranty for $136 for labor when he was never at my home to do labor on my stove.

Sears home services doesn’t even deserve to be called a company. It is fitting that they have licensed the brand name Sears since that company was run so poorly that it went out of business. Sears home services has zero customer support. They pretend that they have technology to make appointments, follow up on appointments, etc. but when there is discrepancy or nobody shows up or a confirmation is needed, there is nobody at that company that will talk to you. But there is nothing that allows you to text back with a question or to confirm more an exact time versus 8 to 5, which is ridiculous that they even put that out there. Who has a full day to waste? When I finally got through to somebody, they first said I had an appointment that day and then proceeded to tell me I didn’t have an appointment that day. It was probably the most frustrating 30 minutes phone call I’ve had ever. If I could single-handedly put this Company out of business, I would choose to do so. Again, they have intentionally set up their business so that they don’t talk to any customers. Don’t trust me? Look at the Yelp reviews. The average is 1.1 out of 5 stars. Avoid at all costs.

Best I can tell, there IS NO sears appliance service. It's just a loOong robo-call to get your credit card, sell you additional warranty contracts and then maybe find a 3rd party technician to look into repairing your appliance. Save yourself the time & money and just call a local repairman directly.

Chaco R,

Customer service response - Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention, Chaco. We hate to see that you have had this kind of experience with Sears Appliance Repair and would love the opportunity to help out. If you would please message the name, address, and phone number associated with the service order to our Sears Home Services Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SearsHomeServices/, we will be able to see how we can assist you. We appreciate your business and look forward to addressing this matter.
