Both technicians that came out were very nice. Our issue is the first part that was ordered was wrong. Frist tech ordered an additional part, but was unable to fix the machine because the original part was for a stacker washer. We were without a washer from 9/20 to 10/18. The washer was bought 9/18/23.

He did not check to see if the ice maker was working before he left He did replace the compressor and other parts and the refrigerator and freezer started working

American Home Shield hired Sears to fix our dryer that had stopped heating. Joel supposedly replaced the heating element with a new unit; however, one month later, it stopped heating again. Either it was a faulty part, an issue with installation, or it wasn't the real issue in the first place. Unfortunately, one cannot call Sears for an actual person to discuss. I can schedule a tech to come back out, but if they decide the issue is different, I'll have to pay $129. The text I was sent says the visit is $129 and does not acknowledge that the issue is the same. It's just a gotcha. Ultimately, 1. skip the home warranty, and 2. refuse the Sears option, because you will not be able to speak to a live person.
