HORRIBLE service! I was scheduled 3 days in a row and each and every appointment was canceled SAME DAY!!! SAME message! You're appointment time is "NO LONGER AVAILABLE." That after I took EACH of those days OFF FROM WORK as a psychologist in a hospital (NOT EASY or FAIR to patients nor the hospital let alone my colleagues!). ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! Then, though the guy was very nice ... he didn't move the machine or take anything other than the tip panel off (required only 2 screws!). He could not replicate the massive leaking... so he left! Within 15 minutes of his departure, I started a load of laundry and water AGAIN went everywhere! So, I immediately called Sears back to see if he could turn around and come back. Much to my surprise and pleasure, they said, YES, he would "return within the hour." After 90 minutes I called AGAIN and was told that NO ONE is coming back today and that I do NOT have an open service ticket?!!!! For all of that .... I PAID $149.00. I insist that those monies be returned! That was the WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE I have ever had ... and I'm nearly 60 years old. The following day, I had another company come out. He immediately pulled the washer from the wall ... revealing a lot of water! He removed the back panel and identified a cracked container (that whirlpool no longer makes). He also ran the error codes on the unit and found 5 error codes. 3 related to a problematic drain, 1 was a problem with water sensor and the last one with compression. After nearly an hour of diagnostics and identifying 2 required parts that are no longer made it was decided that I would need to replace the 3 year old unit (that I purchased from Sears!). He charged me his $80 diagnostic fee. HUGE difference in thoroughness! Please advise as to when to expect the $149 refund on my credit card!Dear Trish, We apologize for the difficulties your recent service has caused. I had confidence in this repairman, which is more than I can say for the service I was supposed to receive from Lowe's. I could tell he knew what he was doing.
