  1. Great Service but too expensive!! And had to wait 2 weeks to get it repaired

    The repair man was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and friendly! However, I had to wait 2 weeks to score an appointment for repair and then the repair man was there about 2 hrs and the repair cost me $567 of which all but $134 was labor. Maybe I’m in the wrong line of work but that equates to around $292/hr when you add back in the $150 discount from the warranty. This warranty is $50/mos to only save $129 diagnostic fee and get a $150 discount on the service call. Doesn’t seem like a good investment. I feel we’ve only had the fridge 4 years and for it to blow a compressor already does not reflect well on quality for the fridge.

  2. Room for improvement

    The repair was satisfactorily completed. However, it took six weeks to get done, four weeks for the first visit to determine the problem and then two more weeks to get the part and get the service man back to install it. On both visits the arrival time window was nine hours (between 8AM and 5PM). It does not seem unreasonable to narrow the arrival time window substantially. For example, on the second visit I waited at home all day long and was finally contacted at about 4:45 saying that he would arrive in about 30 minutes. It seems reasonable that the service man could have sent a message in the morning saying that it would be at least after noon when he would arrive. I was also very unhappy that after making the initial appointment for repair, it was impossible to talk to a live person with a question or concern. Everything had to be done electronically by "chat". After doing this, I was assured that someone would call me back to discuss my question, but the call back never happened. It also seemed like the chat system was more interested in selling an extended warranty policy than dealing with my concern. The cost of the repair also seemed really high, but what isn't these days. Overall the service repair men were great except for the arrival time issue, but I thought the Sears system was not so good.

  3. Terrible experience for my second time.

    I’m 2020 because of covid I had to wait over six weeks for my refrigerator to be repaired. Yes and maybe because of covid not your fault. Did a good claim no response back for reimbursement. Now had to wait a month for repair man came said it was fixed realized when he was leaving that my refrigerator wasn’t even running tried to catch him before he left but he was already gone so called his cell no answer. Called next morning told him that he didn’t fix anything and I paid him. He says can’t return without a work order. Are you kidding at my job you don’t fix something you go back no now I wait another week. Ridiculous I’ve been without a refrigerator for over a month. Need better service. And when I called in to the Sears phone service was hung up on 3 times and I was very nice but it’s easier to just hang up so you don’t have to research was wrong.

  5. Didn't really do a lot.

    The one part that they have been replacing the last four years he wouldn't do. Said it was only under warranty for three years. I called sears and they have another repairman scheduled 4/7/22.

  7. Useless

    I have already sent this review, which mentioned the home service could have been avoided if I could have told the automated service what my problem was, since no replacement part is available. The communication with the service person was fine, but I wanted to communicate my problem b/4 he arrived.

    Only after 4 visits and multiple incorrect parts ordered and sent, our refrigerator was still not fixed. Would never use their service again!!
