Very disappointing experience. The tech from today, Dylan, was actually great for as much as I talked to him but this whole experience with Sears Appliance Repair has been disappointing. The first tech came Saturday May 18, and he was also very nice. He said he thought I needed a new top rack on my dishwasher but there was a delay in getting that part in so he ordered other parts to make the existing rack work. He ordered parts and set a return date of Tuesday, June 3. This was disappointing since i'd already been waiting for a while, but Tuesday is a good day because I typically work from home on Tuesdays. THEN I got a message on June 3 that my tech return had been rescheduled to Friday, June 14. I hated the wait, and the parts had been in my house for more than a week at this point, and I don't routinely work at home on Fridays so I had to make other arrangements for June 14. Then I got a message from Sears that it looked like all the parts were in and asked if I wanted the tech to come sooner. There was availability on Saturday, June 8, so I booked that. June 8 came and went with no tech and no notification. I had even checked with Sears late in the afternoon to see if someone was still coming and was assured that they were. Nobody ever came. Then I contacted Sears the next day and asked to reschedule. Was told sorry, the tech had had a transportation issue on June 8. I feel like it would have been really decent for someone to have told me that instead of just leaving me waiting for someone to arrive who never showed up. I was offered a reschedule to Monday, June 10, but I routinely work at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I requested June 11. THEN the morning of June 11 I received a notification that the visit had been rescheduled to Wednesday, June 12. I could not be there that day and clicked to find a different date. June 11 was still showing as an available option so I picked it, then got notification again that the visit had been rescheduled to June 11. I WAS NEVER ABLE TO GET ANYTHING OTHER THAN A BOT WITH SEARS ON JUNE 11, so I went to my home warranty to try to find an alternate solution. I was told by the home warranty that they were escalating to another team to find me someone else to take care of the dishwasher. THEN I hear from Dylan, the most recent Sears tech, on June 12. I gave him an abridged version of what all had happened and I explained that I could not be there today but that my fiance would be there by late morning. He said that he would see his next client and then call me again. Then he called me to say that he spoke with his manager who said that the first tech never should have ordered the parts he did and that he couldn't come and that I would have to just install myself. NOW, I had long since thought that the parts that were sent looked fairly straightforward and I had thought that perhaps I could handle myself but I had been leery of this because I thought it might void the warranty, so I had waited for the tech. I had waited for quite a long time at this point. In fact, it struck me later that the initial tech had said the only reason he didn't order me a new top rack was because it would take a few weeks for it to come in. FOUR WEEKS LATER I WISH HE HAD ORDERED THAT THEN And my home warranty has told me to not try to install the parts myself and that they have escalated on their end. So I'm a month end without a properly functioning dishwasher. I paid my copay to the home warranty for this at the time the May 18 visit was scheduled and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight to this. And I might not have gone into such excruciating detail here except for the fact that Sears sent me a canned email request asking me to post a review. Well, you asked for it, you got it. It is incredibly frustrating to need help and only be able to contact a BOT. Leaves me with the clear impression that Sears Appliance Repair doesn't give a damn about the human beings behind the appliances they halfheartedly attempt to service.

Logan came to our house. Stayed approximately two minutes. Said he was ordering parts and would return a week later to repair dryer. Found out he charged my warranty company $240, said we broke the dryer, and closed the claim out. If Logan is lazy and does not want to do his job, he needs to quit. On the phone with warranty company to clear up the lies and get the dryer repaired.

It took days for someone to come. Guy kindly told us the broken part I could buy and replace myself, saving us ~$200, but the part wasn’t the problem and now I paid $109 for nothing.

Once the appointment is made you will never speak to a human again. The web link is horrible. You will get messages stating you can reschedule; you can’t. If you call from the phone number you used to make the appointment, the auto bot will find your appointment by your phone number, give you info about your appointment, then say “good bye”. If you want to talk to a human call from a different phone and choose to schedule a new appointment. When asked if you are calling about the issue you’ve got the appointment for, CHOOSE THE NUMBER FOR “NO”. You will eventually get a human who will transfer you to scheduling. The technicians were very nice. I ordered two parts, they installed one, and I will get a refund for the second part. BUT THE MACHINE IS STILL GRINDING. I can’t do anything with the first ticket, because auto bot closed it. I’d add a video but the link only takes photos, in which one could not hear the grinding noise.
