My home warranty is with CHOICE HOME WARRANTY, I maintain lint removal from Dryer screen daily, I vacuum the back of Dryer, remove vent hose and vacuum inside the Dryer as far as possible, as well as exhaust dryer hose. This was done 2 weeks prior to requesting a service call thru choice. Choice Home warranty selected a SEARS technician , that eventually removed the screws from front of the dryer, enabling the exhaust screen housing to be removed via the back of the Dryer, after the technician removed the back panel of the Dryer. The initial service call was for delayed dryer completion time, the timer nor the humidity dial selection were functioning. Choice warranty denied due to lack of maintenance. I have requested a copy of technician’s report and or pictures. Neither Sears or Choice warranty has complied. They refused to replace time or humidity detection switch. My owners manual does not state for the back of the Dryer to be remove for lint removal. It also does not state any preventative measures needed for the timer switch . I believe it poses a risk for home owners removing the back panel as 220 v wires are exposed and could be inadvertently loosened and increases the chance for a fire, just as a non functioning Timer switch and humidity sensor present. Some screws were found in the bottom of vent bracket (inadvertently left in my pocket) , upon technician removing them, heat time has returned to normal but still machine does not turn off except by opening the door. Neither companies has sent documentation I requested. But I did receive notification of Sear Maintenance available as a separate policy. How interesting. Never to be seen Google review, unfortunately Dale Addendum: called the phone number, unable to get thru to person, if you wonder how Sears went from #1 retailer to bankruptcy, just use one of the services they ( probably in name only) offer. Amazon is not perfect but the systems in place are well thought out, if you have a problem , you can relay it to a human. Then it’s usually corrected. They will Eventually go into home services, And then even the remaining remnants of Sears. Will go the way of the Dinosaurs…….

I am having minor issues with my washer and I called them to ask about it and they could not give me any information on the product. Only schedule a service call even though it was a minor issue.

The repairman who came to the house was very kind and knowledgeable and was able to tell me very quickly what was wrong with my washing machine. That's why you got any stars at all. The price is highway robbery. We were quoted $500 for the repair (approximately$200 for the parts and $300 for labor). We declined because we could have bought a new one for that much, and a 10 year old machine with no warranty isn't worth that. To be honest, neither is the home appliance warranty they tried to sell me. But I guess that's what Sears is aiming for. So I paid $109 for a person to tell me what was wrong with my machine. My husband found the 2 parts (new) fairly easily for $65 and repaired it himself. It took about 10 minutes. If you are keeping track, that is $175 instead of $500+ if Sears had done the repair. Sears used ti be so good at everything. It's no wonder they are doing so poorly and are practically nonexistent now.

They have cancelled twice. I have taken off of work to be home and then get updates all day long of estimated arrival. The first time they claimed they couldn’t get me and turned in the repair ticket as “completed”. The second time they put me off all day only to cancel 30 minutes before they were supposed to arrive and scheduled my repair for 10 days later. I have been waiting 21 days for a repair. Still no service and no phone calls from a real person. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Robert came out and decided to need a new gasket. He told me he would order it and contact me when it got in. This went on for two weeks, and I texted him Four times to find out when the gasket would be in and when he would be back to fix it. I got one reply, and it said, there's no tracking number yet. After two weeks, I finally called the company again to get somebody else out here. The person that came today told me that it takes two to three days to get a gasket. That being said, I believe Robert just led me along because he didn't want to repair the job in my opinion, if Robert ever came to my house again, I would not answer the door. The worst repair man I've ever seen in my life. I cannot say one good thing about the person. if Robert ever comes to your house to repair your appliances. call the company and tell me one another repair person.

Armando came to my house, plugged in the washer, tried to run it. When the washer did not run correctly, Armando went outside, said he talked to choice home warranty and that they were going to replace the washer. Had me sign an estimate document for parts replacement which was weird, and left. 10 minutes later, I received an email from choice home warranty stating that the claim was denied and that the parts that were replaced by Armando previously were installed incorrectly so they were not going to replace the washer or pay to have the parts purchased again nor for the labor to do it. If I could give zero stars I would.

No one showed up. You collected your fee on line. I received a text claiming the technician was at my location but no one came to the door. I learned later that my dryer was declared not repairable.
