Des Moines, IA5 Stars for Jorge – But the Sears System Needs Work
We recently had a repair done on our washing machine and I want to give a huge shoutout to our service technician, Jorge. He was absolutely wonderful to work with. A few weeks ago, he came out, diagnosed the issue, ordered the parts, and scheduled the follow-up repair once the parts arrived at our home. Today, he returned to complete the job. He was professional, courteous, and communicative throughout—keeping us informed every step of the way. Jorge deserves 5 stars and more. That said, the Sears repair system itself is awful. The automated scheduling process is a black hole—there's no way to speak to a live person or get help when things go wrong. The repair window is a full-day (8 AM to 5 PM), which is a major inconvenience. To make matters worse, when our first scheduled repair day came around, we got a text at 4 PM saying the appointment was canceled and pushed out a full week—again, with no way to talk to anyone or file a complaint. In short: Jorge = amazing. Sears system = a nightmare. Give this guy a raise and fix the system around him.
