Ice maker replaced
Damien diagnosed the problem quickly on the first visit. After the replacement part arrived and service was scheduled, He called the day of the service to confirm that the refrigerator had been defrosted. The ice maker was replaced and I'm hoping that this repair will last, understanding that Samsung has long had a problem with the design of their ice makers.

Dave came to the house. We spoke about the issues with the dryer. Parts were ordered for the dryer, and Dave checked the old parts. It mainly was a matter of reseating the plugs on the board as there was a lot of dust on them. A test was run on the dryer and it was operating properly. Dave then did a thorough cleaning of the inside of the dryer, as there also was a lot of dust. He finished the assembly of the dryer and tested it. The dryer is now working as it should be working. Dave explained everything to me as he was doing the work and made sure that I was satisfied with the results. He is an excellent technician. He took the parts with him, as they were not needed. Thanks Dave!
