No longer your father's Sears

I have a warranty that I paid for on my Sears Craftsman lawn tractor. I need a lawn tractor because a have a 1 acre lawn in Florida. On July 12 I called Sears because the drive belt broke. Today is November 15 and the Sears technician finally got it running. So I was without a lawn tractor for 112 days. And there was nothing I could do about it. Sears keeps trying to sell me a home appliance warranty. Are you kidding me!!!!!!!! I can just picture being without home air conditioning for 3 1/2 months waiting for them to find parts or being too busy to get to me. It is no wonder that Sears is going belly up. You cannot treat your customers like this and expect them to come back. I challenge you to come up with a good excuse for them to take 3 1/2 MONTHS to fix a lawn tractor. -Fed Up Customer

4 visits.. 5 weeks.. more and more money.. new problems.. more parts needed.. once it ran the transmission went out 2 weeks later.. sad since i had that repair done not 2 years ago.. my nick name at Sears must be the golden calf... thanks for nothing and wasting my time.. now to junk this lump in my shed.

I told him the technician was here for 3 hours fixing my mower and five minutes after the technician left my mower quit working. He assured me that the technician would be back and I still have not seen a technician! I found the technician at the Burger King by my house and spoke to him in person and the technician said dispatch had not notified him. The technician said he would come back to my house and get my mower working and I still have not seen the technician! I pay over $500 a year for a protection plan and I have been without a working mower for 3 months, I have lost 3 animals to snake bites because my grass is so high!

Very Bad

Called Sears and told them the drive belt was broken on my lawn tractor. Over a week later technician arrived WITH NO DRIVE BELT. He ordered parts and left. ( I live in Florida and my grass is growing about an inch a day ). TWENTY ONE DAYS LATER technician came back and put on new belts and spindles and pulleys and left without test driving the lawn tractor. The first time I engaged the blades to cut grass it made such a racket I had to disengage them and park it and call Sears to have technician come back. They told me they could not make it back here for TWENTY NINE DAYS. It is no wonder that Sears is going belly up. I have a warranty for my lawn tractor but it is going to be sitting for TWO MONTHS of that warranty time just waiting for Sears to fix it. They should at least extend my warranty for 2 months. I have been a Sears customer for 12 years and this is a very bad way to treat me.
