In all fairness, he was supposed to come the day it snowed. The window was 8-5. I got a message at 5:15 that he wouldn't be there due to the snow. Rescheduled for today. He pulled some plastic out since it wouldn't drain. He left. I did laundry only to have a washer half full thst won't drain again.

The technician is a fraud

He only collects for a service call even though he doesn't provide service . He doesn't show up for the appointment . He claims that the washer is for commercial use when it is for my personal use . I live at the location . He started service on October 27th at which time he ordered parts for the repair . When he finally returned on December 19th to perform the repair , he then decided that it was not for my personal use . I'm tired of this . My next step is to hire my lawyer to handle this . I will sue both you sir and the warranty agent . Have a good day

Inexperienced

This is the 3rd day that we tried to get a technician out to the home. Sears really dropped the ball even though we believed them to be a reliable source. This is a rental unit, so I was not going to be on site. I never received a call with an ETA until my renter called to let me know that the guy is talking to his manager. He never gave an explanation or called me before leaving. It looked like he was fleeing the problem as he didn't know what to do. His explanation is "we don't go behind customers' repairs". It is not the case. We already had an electrician come out and troubleshoot the power lines. No issues there. I've already called and spoke to Leon from the customer service. He assured me that the diagnosis fee will be dropped within 24-48 hours. With the little trust that I have left for Sears, I am pretty sure they will screw that up too. It may not matter much to Sears, but I will have friends and family to never use Sears, and also report the issues to BBB.

Surreal… in a bad way

After staying home for the whole day and losing a day's pay, and after having received numerous confirmations vis text all week long as well as the day of, and having been called to ask what my problem was, they never showed up. I was told that not only do I have to remove the dishwasher from under the counter so they could access the unit—at my expense—they said that they didn't have anyone to come anyway. End of story.

Waste of time

I'm very disappointed by the service provided or shall I say lack of service. This service tech had an appointment Monday 8-11 he calls me about 2pm to tell me he wouldn't be coming and rescheduled for today 1/25/24. 8-11am he shows up at 8:300 and looks at the refrigerator and won't install the parts that were shipped because it would take him 3hours to do so and my refrigerator was working fine according to him. I let him listen to the recording of the noises the refrigerator was making, and he said he couldn't do the job cause it was street sweeping day in my neighborhood and he was parked to far to bring his tools and do the job. Ridiculous this is the second tech to come out waste my time and do nothing.I have never experienced anything like this with any other company but for some reason the technicians sears hires are lazy and don't want to do the work.I would rate him zero stars but the only way Ito share my post is by putting a star

Magic Chef Washing Machine

The very low rating was not due to the Technician at all, it was due to a very significant issue that Sears does not NOT allow a person to call and talk to anyone at Sears about changing the time of day of service! Neither do they allow it using their website although from the wording it gives the false impression that a person can. In addition although I received many service notice emails, I could not change the time of day using them. I did receive a call saying a service person was coming but there was no ETA! The service man was professional and did as much as he could---that is just test and verify the machine's faulty operation. The issue was dealing with the programming and he couldn't change it, only the manufacturer could. So there was nothing he could fix or repair. The faulty operation is a manufacturer's issue.

Unimpressed with microwave repair

Today I waited all day for the technician, and he never showed up. This is the second time it has happened to me. The one time he's visited the house the wrong part was ordered if you're not planning to show up at least communicate so you're not wasting my time. It's been 2 1/2 months to fix the microwave, very unimpressed

Tech angrily walked out of house - no repair completed

James A arrived and I showed him where the washer/dryer were located. He handed me his phone and said, "You need to sign that." I asked him what it was, and he said, "Read it." I read a disclaimer waiving his company from liability for damages incurred while moving equipment. I asked him if he needed to move the dryer, and he said, "I don't know." I asked him to begin his work, and if he determined the unit needed to be moved, I would then sign the disclaimer. He took his phone from my hand, picked up his tools, and quickly exited my house. By the time I got to the window to see if he was coming back, his truck was pulling away. During his time in my home, he was abrupt and uncommunicative. I have had a warranty on my washer and dryer since I purchased them, and have had a few repairs done. I all cases, the technicians were professional and courteous and all of them completed the scheduled repairs.

Spend more than four minutes concluding that I abused my machine and twenty minutes collecting the fee and showing up 90 minutes early while calling from my front door.
