Our five year old GE refrigerator stopped cooling both the fridge and freezer compartments. I ran a diagnostic check to see if there were any error code(s) and it returned 00 10…indicating the freezer thermistor was out of range. This corresponding with the fact no ice was being made. I purchased and replaced both the freezer evaporator fan and thermistor, which got rid of the error message but still no ice. Instead a new error code…00 03 appeared. In searching for the definition of that error indicated it was an issue with the water value inlet. However, the water dispenser was working so not sure what this error code really means. Scheduled Sears home service and technician, Terrence came out first thing the next day. It was a capacitor and relay over switch that was bad. It was replaced and now working. Theses parts he explained are used to start the compressor. Highly recommend Terrence.

Woman was fantastic! He quickly determined that the original installer of the fridge had put the hinge bracket on backwards when they changed the hinge from the right to left side. He made the fix quickly and explained to us what he did to make the fix. Great service!
