Cleaning and Maintain service
My oven was serviced while my wife was home. The appliance was fixed and works as it should. I payed additionally for the " clean and maintain service " and after inspecting my oven once I returned home, it was apparent that the "clean and maintain service" was not conducted. It was evident that the door gasket, area around the burners and the clean / wipe down of the exterior appliance was never conducted. Additionally, the oven was not placed back into the original location where the child safety locks where, which insures the oven does not tip over. This is my first experience with Sears Home Services and I will not be using them in the future. I called and spoke to Sears the following morning where I was advised they will send someone out to correct the issue but I will be held responsible for any additional costs. Being that I paid for the service that was not completed, I suggested otherwise and the employee moved passed his statement and set a date and time which required I stay readily available from 8a to 5p. I am very disappointed as a customer pays a premium hourly wage and premium cost for parts through Sears to service home appliances and the customer should expect a service reflecting the price.

No communication
The repair man was not informative. We had to ask about ordering the parts and make sure he did order all the parts because he kept forgetting about one of the parts then I had to ask once the parts are delivered do I need to recall the repair number and set up a new appointment he just was sure

Inexperienced
While the service tech was friendly and professional, he was clearly inexperienced, at least with my problem. Instead of doing a little research, or paying attention to the details on the stove itself, he decided (after talking to a coworker) that I had the wrong oven for propane fuel. Now, I have to wait for someone else to come take a look, and hopefully, fix the problem.

Technician okay; online and phone service poor
Technician had to order 2 parts and said he would come back on Friday. NEVER SHOWED UP OR CALLED TO RESCHEDULE. Can't reach a live person on Sears online or phone. Had to schedule another appointment. Technician showed then but he had ordered a wrong part! Would not use them again.

Keith seems to be a good technician
Chris Glover and Ricardo Espain require their service technicians to have customers sign a damage waiver, explaining that in the course of the repair they might cause damage to cabinets, floors, etc. and refuse to be responsible for that damage. If the customer does not sign the waiver, the technician refuses to order parts or perform any repairs to the appliance. The Protection Agreement on my appliances says nothing about the waiver requirement. As a California Licensed Contractor, Sears is Bonded and Insured for such damages. I believe this is an illegal practice and will file a complaint with DCA and CSLB.

Poor customer service
Service Agent would not let me clean a food spill from the inside glass of the door he was repairing while it was disassembled. After pleading with him to let me wipe the glass with vinegar and water before he put it back together, I could only half clean it..as he complained about the smell as I was trying to clean it. I thanked him for letting me attempt to clean it. After it was repaired and assembled, it was obvious it was not clean. He observed this, wet a paper towel and wiped the outside of the door. Such poor customer service. I would have paid him to clean it but he had such a poor attitude about it. The only way to clean it is to take apart the door again. I cannot pay for a service call just to get that glass cleaned.

Poor diagnostic skills
The service person informed me what was wrong with my oven and unfortunately the part needed was no longer available. Told me the ignitor was working but was not getting gas to light. The next day I was telling a friend who owned a laundromat and rental property. My friend told me he was sure it was the ignitor. He said the ignitor was not getting hot enough to turn the gas on. He went to Parkersburg the next day, got an ingnitor and had my oven working in 20 minutes. Additionally, after the technician left I discovered the oven door did not shut properly. My husband looked at the door and discovered the door had been sprung and does not close properly. The friend who installed the ignitor stated the technician did not need to remove the door. The good thing is I can get it closed enough to use the oven. I learned that even if the ignitor is glowing it is not an indication it is good. It is just not getting hot enough to allow the gas to come on.

Oven repair
In the past , technicians had recommended to video tape the problem i was having in case they coild not reproduce. I showed him the video i took last wk when one of the issues surfaced. He first said he did not have to see the video, then he said the video only showed the month & day not yr! I said to him u can see it was from last week but he seemed not interested. He did reset the probe and said everything was working. I told him that it is unreliable. It works at times , other times burns the food unless we are checking every few minutes. We never had to do this before! It starts beeping for no reason , he says then reset the prove again. Why we never had ro use the prove in the past! Something is different. We had this stove for several yrs without issues. He was just rude & did not seem to care what we tried to tell him. In comparison, the previous repair man (Isac) weas pleasant & spent time to recreate the problems that we had at that time. He also appre iated that we had avideo as it helped hom to try to recreate the issues wd were having

Need more work.
The time and work on yhe stove went well. However when auto cleaning the oven half way through I heard a loud pop. The glass top had cracked. I will need further assistance.
