Doesn't like home warranty plans
Within 10 seconds of confirming my appointment I advised the Technician that I have a home warranty service and he immediately said that they have trouble with them. I assured him that I understand I would have to pay the diagnostic fee. To me it was very unpleasant right from the start. I will say when the technician arrived he was professional and did seem competent. The technicians need to be trained on how home warranty companies work.

Unable to fix my oven & microwave I was billed twice for parts and service. 1st bill $1002.95 2nd bill $1002.95 I was only credited first bill . The 2nd payment was to be for diagnostic / service call $179.00, but I was charged full $1002.95 amount. I needed my refund of $823.95.

Frustrated with SEars home office for SEARSProtect. Had a problem with wall oven that made repair complicated because of parts not being cause to the age. Dilemma was whether to be without entire double oven for possibly months while circuit board is repaired, ask for a new oven, or muddle through with one oven working and second with not all features functioning. Problem with new oven may be quality issues. Still mulling this over. One recommendation is to stick with the old double oven and wait until other functions deteriorate.

Austin's communication and promptness were both excellent. He was polite while he was here and succinctly provided a clear picture of what he found. Before the appointment he requested information about the oven, so I was surprised that after a very brief look at the unit, he wasn't able to pull out the oven alone to actually look at the fan and said it would require another person, a dolly, and another technician at an additional charge. time. In the meantime, he attempted to locate parts online for my oven and he realized no parts were available b/c of the oven's age.. It seemed a service call was unnecessary: the info I provided prior to Austin's visit, if it would have been examined, would have led him to realize there wasn't much he could do. I would have REALLY appreciated saving that service call fee since it now appears my oven must be replaced.

Arkadiy proved technically competent; he diagnosed and repaired our oven in short order (so short, that I was more than surprised at the labor cost). However, he needs to work on his inter-personal skills in terms of his interaction with his customers.

Technician did not notify his estimated time of arrival. The tracking app stated around 11, but he did not arrive until after 12, with zero communication. Did not have a very good working knowledge of the oven and did not provide good insight as to whether to proceed with a repair or do without the convection function.

Warren knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it quickly. However, Sears policy of a 9-hour repair window is borderline unworkable and I need to find somebody who won't burn 2/3 of a work day of mine for 15 minute repair.

The frustrating part of these repairs were waiting for the parts to arrive (about 3 months for the washer and a month for the stove). Once the parts arrived, the technicians were professional and completed the repairs in a timely manner. I had to call or go online to check the status of the part orders.

Peter did a good job identifying the problem, but said Sears would not try to get another control board because manufacturer no longer has parts for this oven. Said I would have to find a new board. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE
