Johnny W. was very professional and diagnosed the problem. He ordered the necessary part for the microwave oven. This part has not arrived. He also made a new appointment for April 11th but did not keep the appointment. Maybe it was because he knew the part had not arrived. He did not leave a message. Please advise me as to further service for the microwave.

Eduardo did a fine job today replacing parts and troubleshooting error codes. He even took a suggestion I offered based on my own research. That turned out to be the final piece to the puzzle. Our Jenn-Air microwave oven is now back in service. While Eduardo showed perseverance and humility, the other tech who has been trying to service this appliance made several mistakes that stretched the repair time to 60 days. Ordering incorrect parts and failing to configure settings properly according to the service manual resulted in unneeded parts replacement and long wait times for part shipment. Had the correct parts been ordered and the proper service procedure been followed, this repair would have taken 2 weeks instead of 2 months.

Overall, good service on my recent oven repair. The technician notified me of delays at other worksites by phone, which I really appreciate. The tracking system regarding arrival time is pretty good. The not so good part about the service, ridiculous high labor cost, I felt like I was ripped off. I would have been better off contacting my electrician to do the job. The tech needs to get organized and clean up at the job site afterwards, don't leave it to the customer.

Explanation of issue with Kitchenaid oven.
John was very well read on his knowledge of the oven. Very patient in explaining how this oven performs and the working of the thermostat, and how to approach the preheating. Very knowledgeable and very patient about repeated questions. Thanks John!!!

William did a great job identifying the problem quickly once he arrived. He did not have the part and said it would be after the new year to repair a grandmother's oven and be unable to bake her Christmas cookies for the grand and great-grandkids. Luckily, I Googled the problem and pre-ordered all of the possible parts. This allowed him to complete the repairs and allow the Christmas cookies to be made. We purchased a Sears Protect service contract but could not use it because I scheduled the appointment online and not via the 800#, which was never communicated. The other issue was the original appointment was scheduled for a week earlier but was canceled just hours before the arrival time due to a tech issue. No effort was made to get an earlier appointment. I even asked for an early appointment on the rescheduled day, which was not honored. William was a great tech, and I would give him five stars. The process of scheduling, rescheduling, communications, and the Sears Protect is a Zero Star. The worst thing was how hard Sears made it to reach a real person who could help solve problems.

Fortunately it wasn't a big issue, Steven removed the back & the board was reset. Unfortunately there was also a gas leak that Steven was unable to fix.
