Impatient and poor communication
I advised the company that I had to work from home and I could not step away at any moments notice and that the agent would have to wait. I tried to reschedule the appointment to a more suitable time, but they would not. They said they would accommodate me. The agent said he was here and I explained to him that I could not step away and luckily my husband was able to answer the door. The agent was demanding a payment method different from what was stated multiple times that was acceptable. I was stuck on a phone call with my work. The agent said , whatever was going on was not covered yet when I called CHOICE warranty they said it is covered and they're going to send a different company out later !! The representative said he had other things to do and left. He did not respond to any of my text messages even when I apologize for not being able to come out..

Microwave Issue still not fixed despite new parts
Our Microwave was making rattling noises and a burnt smell was coming when we tried to heat anything in it. So we called Sears Services. The technician came out, ran diagnostics, ordered parts and then returned back in 2-3 weeks to install the new parts. He installed them today and within a few hours, we had the same issue as before! Our microwave is no longer working again, making the same rattling noise and giving off burnt smell.

This review is not about Mike but Sears Home Service
The original was on 6/28. It was rescheduled several time without anyone informing me. Twice I waited all day no one called me to let me know that they would not come. One was on the calendar, but no tech was assigned. I had to call and find out myself. In all I wasted about 24 hours waiting for the service. Finally, Mike had the decency to call and informed me that the title of the call was for a microwave and the item that needed to be repaired is the range hood. The fan is not working. This is a nightmarish service. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Did not test repair and it did not work!
Tech did not test repair. Said he was unable. Prob was a lamp that did not illuminate. One possibility was a bad bulb. Another a bad socket. Another was a bad switch. Replaced switch. Light did not come on. Claimed he did not have bulb to try. Did not check socket. Said he was sure it was switch. Repair failed. Complete lack of diligence and thoroughness.

Bad service
Bad service, I waited 3 appointments for the microwave to be fixed. The technician came with a bad attitude, he did not bring the necessary tools, he was asking if we had them so he could use them, he damaged my dining room table and left the microwave wrong by unscrewing the screws, I made the report and I did not have any response

Bad experience
After 3 visits and new parts , the issue is not resolved. Left us in middle of non working issue and I need to follow up with home warranty or find new technician to replace

Liar
Tech did not call, tech did not come. There was no missed call listed on my phone, I work from home and was there all day. And I check my ring door bell and he never came. But listed that he came and I wasn't home and closed the work order. This is absolutely ridiculous!

Arrived 2 hours late
The repair was fast & simple. They were reportedly going to arrive at 8 am, but their van reportedly had a flat. They arrived about 10:30 am. This tardiness follows a long saga of issues with SHS automatically rescheduling my appointment to date(s) when I was not available. Every time the auto-rescheduler put my appointment to an unacceptable date (almost daily for three weeks), this crappy feature resulted in me having to contact SHS to repeatedly put the appointment back to a workable date. I plan to forever avoid using SHS again due primarily to the screwed-up appointment changing system. The technicians themselves were competent and cordial.
