The diagnosis was fine but when he knew that it could not be repaired he should not Have removed my cabinet molding. Just for that I should not have been charged the amount of the service.

He arrived at our home, and checked to make sure he was at the right place. I took him to the microwave, and he collected the info on the tag. Everything I would expect. Then I told him the turntable was making noise when used. He put a cup of water in and listened to it. He then said there was nothing wrong, just the wheels hitting a couple of small bits of debris on the bottom. Maybe he's right about that, I don't know but time should tell. He then proceeded to tell me that he hates GE, that all their products are cheaply made in China and are junk. He also told me that the microwave was improperly installed, despite the fact that my trusted installer has over 20 years of experience, and has serviced my appliances for most of that time. He also spoke unfavorably about the retailer where we purchased the microwave. All in all, if I were GE, I wouldn't want him doing my warranty service, and if I were a retailer selling GE, I wouldn't be very happy about him either.

Very nice service but overall experience was a waste of time

My microwave broke almost 2 months ago and I had my first service appointment mid July. There was an issue with a shipped part and I couldn't speak with anybody in customer service (called 3 different numbers and did 2 online chats). All necessary parts weren't ordered first time around. Had a total of 4 house visits, and during the 4th one (8/2/23) I was told the microwave needed more parts. Asked for a refund of parts and cancellation of service so I could just buy a new microwave. Initial refund amount was incorrect so I pulled up the receipt on my phone and had to ask several times to be refunded the correct amount.

Misdiagnosed and Not Fixed

I am very disappointed with the service I received regarding my microwave repair claim. Aaron came to my home on Friday, 5/29/26, and diagnosed the microwave issue as a waveguide problem. At that time, I specifically asked him if he was 100% sure because I did not believe that was the actual issue. Aaron responded, "Oh yeah, that's always the issue." Based on his diagnosis, the part was ordered and delivered to my home on Monday. Aaron also submitted the claim information to my home warranty company. When Aaron returned on Wednesday, 6/03/26, it was determined that the waveguide was, in fact, not the issue. Instead of submitting the microwave for replacement through the home warranty company, he requested approval for a repair totaling nearly $1,000. As a result, my home warranty company denied the claim, stating the issue was caused by a loose waveguide and normal wear and tear. The microwave is only two years old. Had Aaron properly diagnosed the issue during the original visit, the microwave replacement would likely have been covered under my home warranty policy. Due to the incorrect diagnosis and handling of the claim, I am now left without coverage and facing unnecessary expenses. I would appreciate this matter being reviewed and addressed appropriately.

Very dissatisfied customer - R Carter

I am a very dissastisfied customer. I can truly say that this has been the worst experience. After being told the part is no longer available and that the appliance will be replaced, the part was delivered to my home on May 16. Several technicians have been to my home. Several appointments have been cancelled. One appointment was even cancelled because a second technician wasnt available. Really two people for a microwave. After more than 6 weeks, we finally got a qualified technician to complete the job. In which he had no idea that the part was here for him to replace. He thought he was coming for an assessment. In addition to that, you cannot speak to a live person. Samantha is no help. I tried to call to let Sears know that I had the part. So with that being said, I had the part for 2 1/2 weeks before we got another appointment. Why do we pay for a service but cannot speak to anyone. Sears is not worth my money.. I could go on but at this point, I don't feel like it's worth my time. Do yourself a favor, do not take a warranty out with Sears.

Very rude horrible man

He was very rude, disrespectful, obnoxious, and unreal. He was yelling and screaming like a maniac. I don't understand how he was hired. I'd rather give him zero stars, but that was not an option. I'm disgusted by his behavior.

Incompetent and argumentative to boot

Tech was incompetent and had to phone a supervisor multiple times to walk him through basic diagnostics on my wall-mounted microwave. When he determined that the required part is no longer available, he reinstalled the microwave crooked and did it in a way that will force me to damage/destroy the trim kit in order to replace the unit. Then, he had the audacity to tell me he did me a favor by pulling the wall mounted unit off the wall to diagnose it. Argumentative, rude, combative, and completely unprofessional. I'll never call these guys for help ever again.
