8 Weeks To Conclude The Repair
My first appointment for the repair of my microwave was July 24. The technician required a "helper" to remove the micro; reschedule was for 2 weeks later and was cancelled as there was no "helper"; reschedule for 2 weeks later the technician came with "helper" and parts were needed; the next appointment scheduled 2 weeks later for Sept. 4 was cancelled as there was no "helper". The appointment was rescheduled 2 weeks later for Sept 16 and the technician arrived with "helper' and got the repair done. Prior to the Sept 16 appointment, however, I called customer support 3 times to assure that this appointment would include a helper and not be rescheduled. Note there was 2 weeks between each reschedule. I am a new member of the Sears Protection Plan and this was my first repair call. It was astounding and unacceptable that scheduling of a technician with a helper was such a challenge. It seemed that the appointment was made and the availability of a "helper" was hit or miss (if one happened to be in the area). This made no sense. What would have made sense was to schedule the technician and the helper for the same appointment so that it was on the helper's schedule and not left to chance. Perhaps this is what occurred this last time. hope my experience going forward using my Protection Plan is much better. This experience was extremely stressful and dissatisfying.

Prior service
I did not allow Sears/Joseph to service my appliance today. Joseph was assigned to. Come out to my home late last year to service my dryer and his behavior as well as his competence are definitely in question. He refused to do what he should have so I did not have a working dryer for almost 6 months until a new technician was assigned. Once the new company/technician the job was done properly and 8 once again had a working dryer. I also had to pay my service twice due to the fact that Sears does not allow them to be refunded obce paid even if the job was not done. I would not recommend this company 9f technician to my worst enemy.

Microwave Maintenance
Technician was her no more than 5 minutes so not a lot of maintenance done. A bulb was burnt out, he said he did not have one and for us to purchase 1 to replace. He did leave the burnt out bulb so we know which one to purchase. Not real happy with Sears today, customer service has really gone downhill.

Tech missed problem
The door contacts on the microwave are malfunctioning again. The internal switches don't line up with the door connectors, so the microwave fails to start. The internal section was replaced, but the door appears to be the problem. In order to make the microwave to work at all, you have to pull down on the door as you are shutting it in order for the unit to activate.

Comments on performance
Initially, your performance was good but then there were too many date changes in your service. I called in the repair on December 6, 2023 and it finally was finished on January 19, 2024. A lot of the problems was NO Communication. Other technicians that I have dealt with in the past ALWAYS called our home phone to tell us exactly when they would the showing up. Your company did not do that.

Disappointed
My initial appointment was on December 28, 2023, parts are ordered and came the following week. I was rescheduled 4 times for my repair by Sears and the technician. Once the technician finally came to repair my appliance on January 24, 2024, he was defensive once I questioned the repeated rescheduling of my repair, then he didn't fix the problem adequately as he had to call a supervisor once here as he cause another issue once taking the appliance apart. The supervisor suggested how he could fix the problem, the appliance did work before he left, but, the very next day, it was broken again and was doing the same thing it was before he left and what made him to call the supervisor in the first place. I am so frustrated and disappointed with this experience with Sears. Very disappointed!

Never fixed
Tech did put used parts in the other day and now the door is falling apart. Called and requested another repair.

Bad
Time was not what was said not at all personable Did not put it back together all the way because he said that's the way he found it did not put all the screws in it because he said he didn't take them out if you would like I can send you pictures or video of how it was left

Unsatisfied Customer
My most recent experience with a Sears Tech, was not pleasing. First of all, it appeared that he was not knowledgeable with the task at hand. The repairing of my microwave. He ordered parts that he said were needed in order to do the repairs. In addition to the tech having to order parts, he then informed me that, my next scheduled appointment would be two weeks out waiting for parts to come in. I'm still waiting to have my microwave repaired or replaced.

Probably shouldn't ask my opinion
I took a day off work after talking with the call center 2-3 times. Then the morning of service, I got up early, had arrangements for my dogs because of the explicit instructions about pets and then received a phone call that said my issue wasn't covered under their services. No one showed up. There was no coming to check out the unit, there was only a phone call a few minutes before arrival to say "not really my problem, you need to call someone else." Then I received instructions that my secondary concern shouldn't be a worry. It is normal. If it was normal, I wouldn't have called!! Coming from public safety, that is an answer we never give. We look at the problem and insure that a solutions we may be able to employ, we will. If we can't, we get you in touch with who can and who does. Disappointed.
