Michael was cheerful when he came to the door, and went right to work. After my description of the dryer properly working except for no heat, he diagnosed a heating element failure. He answered my questions about why it was not a thermal fuse. Mike was very patient with me. After completing the work, he ran the dryer to show me it was heating up properly. He suggested I let it run to make sure there was no odor due to a small amount of lubricant or oil coming from the parts. The next load I could put clothes into. We are so grateful he could come the same day we called to fix our Maytag dryer. He helped with the digital payment method which was much faster than us trying to read the numbers into a cell phone. Although we thought the repair cost was rather high,(The heating element part costs about $30) we would recommend Sears home services to other people because of how promptly they arrived and diagnosed it quickly and had the parts on hand to fix it the same day.
