After thoroughly checking every part of the washing machine and running it, Abdul found no active leaks. Then he asked if I had put a larger load than usual when the water puddled in the floor in front of the door, and I had actually put a larger load than normal just once yesterday and he said that can cause a small leak in front of the door with more water hitting it during the cycle. So I think he identified the leak problem, which came from his experience. I will keep the loads small as normal now to see if that prevents a repeat of the leak.
