Stay Away! Horrible!! Don't do it!

I had the worst experience. I called in through my warranty company which worked great. Sears was the service provider. I got no accessed on Friday because the technician went to the wrong house without any type of courtesy call. I was home all day baking in the house waiting. I found out 3 minutes after the portal was updated. Once that happened there is no way to get ahold of the tech to inform him of the error. I had to reschedule for Monday. Then a tech called me on Monday to say he couldn't come out because it was too cold now(a cold front came through) to turn on the A/C. He said he would reschedule the A/C diagnosis for Friday when it is supposed to get warmer. He never showed up and closed the ticket. Customer service at sears is a joke. It is very difficult to get a hold of anyone!! Beware. All numbers lead to the same silly automated system.

He did a terrible job.

He seemed to accuse me of touching the unit when we did not. He said fises were missing when that Lennox control board does not have fuses. He wanted me to sign I tampered with the init when nobody had touched it. He then told me to "hold on" then instead of coming back He just left the job with no explanation. I have a family and I still have no heat despite doing nothing wrong. This man didn't k ow what he was doing and left. I then was unable to even co tact sears via the website because it says my phone number is not valid despite them having it on file. I have used this service for years and pay for months without ending it only for this to happen. I waited over 7 days for an appointment with 30 degree Temps outside only for this to happen. Somebody needs to call me. I can't even reach anyone. I am considering terminating my service along with my neighbors as we all have used this service for years. Please co tact me as I cannot even co tact you guys.

Tech never showed for first appt. When he finally did show up, a month later he didn't want to do the repair because the compressor replacement was on a second level. Now we have to start over with a new company. Absolutely horrible!!!!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Made initial call to repair my air conditioner that was not working. I have two outside units that were not working but Sears Warranty and technician they could only service one. Technician was very uninformative when questioned based on his expertise, which would be the best unit to service that day, the upstairs or downstairs. Technician serviced upstairs unit and got air conditioner unit operable. I subsequently contracted with another air conditioning repair company who repaired the other unit and informed me that the upstairs unit had a faulty filter drive and liquid line that were rusted and possibly leaking. I inspected the part and observed they were severely rusted. He replaced the downstairs unit filter drive and liquid line which had burst and caused all freon to leak out. I telephoned Sears Warranty who sent the same technician to look at the upstairs unit issue. The technician refused to replace the unit as he stated it had not yet burst. I informed him that it would be more practical and cost effective for all parties involved to replace the part now, as waiting for the part to burst would result in all freon leaking out. This would be at a greater expense to replace freon and the parts, than it would be to replace the part at this time. The Sears technician acknowledged that the part WOULD burst in the near future resulting in freon leakage, but still insisted I wait till it occurred before contacting Sears Warranty again. The company I hired to repair the downstairs unit provided excellent customer service by repairing all issues. Sears on the other hand provided horrible customer service and would rather inconvienence their customer and additionally themselves rather than provide thorough service. This is not cost effective to either party!!

After arriving around 8:30am Wade sat in his truck for 40 minutes before starting work. He spent less than 5 minutes checking the furnace. I requested a check on the thermostat or a/c unit since the air was not getting cool enough. He was just out on May 5th for a preventative maintenance check on the a/c and also spent only 5 minutes without checking the Freon level. He refuse to check Freon today. Please do not send Wade for any future service calls.

Mark never showed up, even though it said he arrived at 4:45. So if he said he completed the job, he LIED!!! This appt was one rescheduled from last Tuesday, when no one showed up for that appt either. Shameful way to treat your customers!

Very bad service by technician

I had a leak from my hvac and my basement got clogged with water. Since i got ur appointment 14 days after, i consulted williams air comfort to check if there is any quick fix. They came checked the unit and told coil is all rusted and needs replacement and also there might be refrigerant leak and a coolant test is needed which is against costly. I contacted sears because if there is something to be replaced, going via warranty is the best thing. You gave me a appointment on 13 and then just postponed to 18th. Since leaking stopped i didnt mind much. But the sears technican comes here doesnt check anything not the coil, no nothing. He checks outdoor unit and says weed near the outdoor unit is the problem. Really??? He also says he did a collant test and no refrigerant is leaking. He says all fine, cut the weed. He didnt even check the things which other technican told as the root cause. Why would i have to pay warranty and then 165 for this appointment? This is bad

Sears is a disappointment

My first appointment with Sears, I was stood up. My second appointment with Sears, I was stood up. There is no phone number to speak with a live person. They set a third appointment. I wanted to cancel it. The only way to cancel the appointment is to respond to their confirmation email. You have to select one of their 6 listed reasons for cancellation, there is no other option and of course, you can't call them. Their tech showed up for the third appointment. When I explained the situation he got rude and left. They scheduled a fourth appointment. I wasn't home. We will see if they keep rescheduling appointments. I have always liked Sears. They have now lost a customer for life.

Unprofessional

The Technician was unprofessional. He came in with a know it all attitude and didn't have the patience to listen and communicate in an effective and respectful manner. He talked loudly and obnoxiously. He was bothered at questions being asked about what services need to be done to our unit. He was more concerned about telling us what our warranty company would and wouldn't approve of instead providing us with the services that we actually needed. The tech all in all didn't want to do the work to show our unit absolutely needed to be replaced. We got reassigned to a new and very Professional HVAC company. Thank goodness we did because our A/C unit is currently in the process of getting replaced.
