Horrible service. Has no intention to resolve issue He writes foreign contaminants into a sealed system. Argued from the moment he got. Before starting the service. After, payment collection method. Mentioned check would work and then said card later.

Poor review on technicians and Sears Home Services and proveD with my services too. I wish Sears HS is better to follow their legacy how they used to be before the Chapter 11. Will not wonder if SHS does the same soon. Poor policy, services and reputations of not completing the job.

wrong diagnosis

I was upset about the choice home warranty! This is the 3rd time on 4 houses that the salesman told us would cover everything. Your guy told them lack of mantinence and yes the tenants just changed the filters not vaccummed the heater. But your service man said the control board was out that's why it didn't come on. I had my guy check it and the control board was fine and had blown a 5 amp fuse. Not the whole expensive board. I have 4 houses with them and I also my home have a Sears home warranty and am wondering about that.That's a lot of difference in parts prices amd paid you my deductible before he looked at it. With it being diagnoised from a complete circuit board to a new 5 am fuse! He also made an appointment for the next week and on the day I was expecting for heater repair I called and waited a whole week thinking my heater was going to be repaired. I would like my money back for lack of his knowledge .

Nothing Went Right

Had the most bizarre experience with Choice Home Warranty today. The tech wouldn't even step inside until I paid a $75 fee that I had already sent to the company! When he finally got to work, he "fixed" my thermostat power issue completely by accident while messing with the wires. He then had the nerve to say wiring isn't covered and blamed the whole thing on a "dusty environment." It feels like this company has a mountain of excuses and exclusions they hide until the very last second. Honestly, I've never heard such outlandish reasons to deny a claim. Avoid them at all costs!

Service Call - thermostat

Came out to assess and service a broken HVAC thermostat. First, got notifications via text that we were not home and that we would need to reschedule service, even though my husband was at the door to greet him and let him in. He left with no update on if we were getting our thermostat replaced or repaired. After leaving our home, he sat outside, smoking a cigarette before he left. Had to arrange another service provider.

AC freezing up

Richard explained everything to me about my unit but did nothing to fix the problem. Since he left my unit has frozen up again and it's 27 degrees outside. I don't even know why he came here.

Waste of $ and time

Had a Noisy draft inducer, Sears came out and pretty much said "we won't do anything for noise" then put oil on the motor then left. Noise still prevalent and getting worse as it gets colder. A complete wast of $75 and time

Furnace repair/issue: Very rude

Technician was extremely rude. He kept saying and shouting that we needed to open vents, however, all the vents WERE OPEN and he only checked one vent in the entire house and would not confirm that the rest of the vents were open or closed (which they were). He just kept repeating and shouting over and over that the vents should be open (again, ALL of our vents were open). If he thought the vents weren't open then why did he only check one vent?!?! Wouldn't common sense tell you that if you are going to make an accusation, you should actually check to see if your accusation is valid?!?!? Why say a vent needs to be open if he didn't even check to confirm if all the vents were, in fact, open or closed. He seemed to just want to leave and skirt his responsibility. Heating is still not working properly in our home. He said it may be an air duct issue and would not provide any more information on a repair. Poor service and a poor technician. It's a shame because this was the second time he came to visit our home for this issue and he was very nice the first time. The first time he came he did not mention to open any vents. He did clean up the flue and there was very weak air coming from the vents but he said to let it continue to run and it should heat the home. It did not. I should not have trusted his word the first time. In fact, we ran the heater for 24 hours and there was still little to no heat which is why I contacted the company a 2nd time. By the way, they missed their schedule date as well and the appointment had to be rescheduled twice. Terrible service with little to no explanation as to what to do next.
