Sears's home Services has gotten rid of all the humans involved in scheduling. And it's clear that that we need humans in a scheduling function at least so far we had two missed appointments to get our dryer fixed. The technician who fixed it was excellent and very experienced but I suspect he is over scheduled and we don't have any way of reaching anybody regarding the schedule.

Steve showed up the same day I made the service call. He arrived late in the afternoon when most service people would have already gone home. He got my clothes out of the broken washer and fully explained the issue. He provided great advice on the cost of repairs and that it would be less expensive to get a new machine. He provided great advice on a suitable replacement. Steve is professional, personable. and a good person with whom to work.

The AI misheard my last name, so the repair man couldn't find my name on the door buzzer, and there was no way to confirm it or correct it. It still thinks my last name is Four. A real person definitely would have questioned that last name and made me spell it. Otherwise, it was an easy process and we were able to get an appointment the next day. And the repair man fixed our problem.

He fixed the problem right away and was a pleasant person. The company said the appointment was somewhere between 8 and 12, and he called and asked if 12-1 would be okay. It was. I had asked for someone to come between 8 (I was ready) and 10 because musicians were coming at 10. The company is NOT GOOD about setting a time. What a waste of time for me.
