Refrigerator Repair

Two different technicians, both fast and efficient, but the initial diagnosis was clearly incorrect and second technician took maybe 15 minutes did the install but it didn't work. I spent over $615 to be told that the parts that were ordered and the cost of service I paid up front wouldn't fix my appliance. It'll cost another $1300+. So, not particularly thrilled. I'll just buy a new refrigerator somewhere else. I'm not going to waste more time and money.

Peter did a good job identifying the problem, but said Sears would not try to get another control board because manufacturer no longer has parts for this oven. Said I would have to find a new board. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE

My tenants were grateful for fridge being repaired but were upset due to abundance of small metal pieces/debris that were left behind and their pet dog could have ate metal shards accidentally.

He replaced water valve and ice maker. Still have problem water flowing from ice maker unit into freezer compartment and out bottom of freezer door

The part that was repalced, doesnt burn inside the ring lines its off , so either the part is off or the placement is off.. and the knobs that turn on the area is hot.. so i think there is a recall on this

Still not working

Although the repair man drove out on a Saturday in a snowstorm, he determined that the electric element was out but could not determine the model number on my Jenn Aire or the part number. Then wanted to charge me $129 when I joined the Sears Home Services plan which was supposed to save $30. I supposedly have 30 days to find the model or part number MYSELF to use the $99, or $129 if they do not find my membership they talked me into. I asked if he could pull the part and then just replace a matched part and he said that was not how this works. Since i got the Jenn Aire at Sears in Portage I thought a Sears repair personnel would be able to fix it, Evidently the store where I purchased it is now closed down. There is no way I see online at Sears or Jenn Aire to find a model number for the stove or a part number for the part as a housewife who knows nothing about repairing appliances. When I called the repair number to talk to someone I got an AI voice that stated there is no "real person" to talk to, that it is totally an AI service.....Or I could go online and talk to the chat-bot. Not helpful.

It is hard to get an appointment and when an insurance item it's hard get parts or replacements. No person you can talk to to answer questions.
