missed the CO leak which was main issue for the service call

he missed the CO leak which will most likely cause for unit replacement- and had 2 visits and costed me two days at work and now I need to try and re-schedule through home warranty

Sears Warranty Tecnician Never Showed Up

If you wish to read the blogs as well as benefit from my experience, I suggest that you avoid Sears Master Protection Warranty Services entirely and instead, seek out a local repair service with an actual address, rather than today's version of Sears Master Protection Warranty Service, whose techs work out of their homes and often never make the appointments which you have been assigned by Sear's very, very, off-shore customer service.

Job couldn't start because of rain in Richmond VA on 9-27-24. I was told to reschedule with a new provider. I did the same day and left messages but vendor had not returned my call yet as of 9-30-24

Called a cancelled appt.

Technician called and said his truck broke down and he would not make it. Only asked me to check fuse box and make sure fuse had not been tripped, which it hadn't. After that he told my wife that Sears does not work on our brand of furnace.

Never Again

The tech was unprepared, unprofessional and did not complete the job. He did not arrive in a company truck and did not provide any form of identification verifying who he was. The tech indicated his truck was in the shop, he was using a rental and he didn't have something as simple as a solder to repair a tear in the A/C copper condensation line. To repair the tear, all he needed to do was cut & replace 6 inches of the copper line. Since he didn't have the right tools, he suggested I buy some Flex Seal to repair the line myself! The tech also disengaged a defective EZ-trap to make the A/C unit blow cold air when in fact he should have replaced it. He missed the 4 hour arrival window and since this was his last job for the day, he seemed more interested in getting off work than performing a quality job. He couldn't open thermostat panel on the wall and got exasperated. He was reticent and disinterested in discussing what the issues were until he was ready to leave. He or Sears misleadingly/fraudulently indicated to CinchHome Services that the job was complete when in fact he or someone from Sears was supposed to return and repair the condensation line that was flooding water in my basement and replace the defective EZ Trap. This may be a generational issue but appearances matter. The tech showed up with skinny jeans, boots that were unlaced and addressed me as 'boss' versus respectfully using my formal name which should be used when conducting business. He had a terrible combination of sub-par performance and lack of professionalism which is a reflection on Sears. Maybe he was having a bad day, but this wasn't someone who took pride in their work. Now I have to waste my valuable but limited time on this earth to call another company in to finish what should have been a relatively simple job. This is my first (and hopefully my last) experience using Sears and I would be extremely disinclined to recommend your services to anyone I cared about.

Call Ahead

Clevens wasn't to friendly on his call ahead to the house . I felt like time was wasted also because my issue wasn't resolved by Clevens . It really sound like Clevens wasnt experienced in my particular problem and that's ok before he left he apologized! Clevens made me feel as though I was an experienced technician in his field of expertise that would have been able to explain full detail as if I could troubleshoot for him my issue ! I'm just a customer looking for Clevens to work on my issue and leave me the customer satisfied unfortunately that didn't happen ! Perhaps some additional training for Clevens may help him with future customers!

Started out the guy called around 10am said he'd be in my area about an hour. My apt said 1-5 he told me they aren't always accurate that if it's not gonna work we can reschedule. Uh no it took 3 weeks to get this apt. When he got here he asked me a question, as I was trying to answer he cut me off out his hand up like stop and said give him a minute he's trying to focus. Asked me another question a few minutes later, cut me off again. I said if you'd let me talk I'm trying to answer you. After that he was better but he definitely needs a refresher on his manners. Do t ask the home owner a question then be rude and cut them off.
