Terrible tech attitude

Very bad attitude. Kept cutting me off when I would ask him questions. Called before 8am and said he was on his way but called again at 8:45am and said he was close but didn't arrive until after 10am. Didn't want the make any recommendations for more work that I needed. Please don't ever send this tech to my house ever again.

Horrible!

If I could do no stars, I would. He arrived and was a bit aggressive in his tone. He walked out back and concluded that the heat pump was encased in ice. No surprise to me as that's what was reported when we placed the call for help. He then went to the basement and told me that with the system I have, I should only use auxiliary heat. I asked why & he said because of the type of system I have. I noted that auxiliary heat cost more. He then asked what I wanted. He went back & forth with me about my warranty and what it covered. He told me, he could disconnect the system but we'd be without heat for a couple of weeks. We're in the dead of Winter so that's not an option. He then said he was closing my ticket & to call back when it thawed out. I told him, not to close the ticket. Even though my husband has no HVAC experience, I would have him get the ice off of it, as he did last week) and ask Sears to send another tech. I shared that we would not be paying another deductible. When he was leaving, he pulled out his phone and asked me to sign a screen that I believe only said " approved ". I refused to sign because when asked, he was unable to show me what I was signing for. That concluded his visit. He was here for 5 minutes, did nothing, and in my opinion, he was rude.

Tech did not show up

I waited by my door for hours waiting for him to show but no show nor did I get a call as I left instructions on the ticket to call. Now I must reschedule again !!!!

Price Gouging

I had asked two professionals about how much this "hot scale igniter" would cost.... as I waited 5-days for Sears to finally come and repair it. I was expecting the 25% off according to warranty I purchased from Sears. No I got almost 50% extra charge. Sears worried me about paying them, and never told me the amount, it was so frustrating doing business with them. I told Sears after all of that they owed me an apology. It was terrible. They canceled the appointment so many times that I called someone else, and Sears managed to show after canceling but they beat the other person there. It was a childish mess, not professional at all. I had hired Sears and paid them before,.I couldn't understand the problem. The Sears worker said he didn't get paid, he said Sears told him that I had already paid. That sounds like Sears cheated the man out of his money.... maybe that's why he charged me so much for this job. When I called in to Sears about this guy Sears said they would tell him to inspect the furnace and give me an estimate and if I didn't agree to estimate just pay the service charge. And I said that's what thought our agreement was. Then this guy called me with this supper high charge.

I would give zero if possible

Tech knocked on the door I didn't get to the door fast enough apparently. Tech was still in the driveway when I walked out to speak to him. Tech refused repair stating he already closed ticket. I now have to reschedule plane tickets and vacation because I cannot leave without the heat pump in working order. Temps are dropping to teens over the next 4 days. Thanks a lot. Never experienced such reprehensible service in my life.

Fixing release pipe

He is a disgrace to Sears. I let him know when they replaced the broiler, they also added a new piece of pipe also. We heard the banging thru the floor. Only to see the steam rising up ceiling, water all over foor. He said we needed to call a plumber, for something Sears did. He said he wasn't going to fix it, and WALKED away. He was smiling and didn't wait till I finished talking to him. My son happened to come in, he was told to leave. Don't ever send him back here.

Basic Repair Not Complete

Technician stated he did not have proper tools to complete diagnosis on the first visit. Came back three weeks later to complete repair and stated issue was only loose connections after thinking it was an inoperable circuit board. Said he cleaned the connections. Unit stopped working five days later. Another company came out for servicing. Also found loose wires, but actually tightened the connections. This was a basic repair that should have been addressed on the first visit by Anthony over a month ago.

Unfortunately Ereks Risidio ST9120U Failed

Dear Sirs: The device Erek was given to install disabled my furnace !!! To say the least I am not a happy customer. It seems I was told to reschedule a RECALL. So this scheduling event can not occur until 2/15. Erek was given a device by the name of Risideo ST9120. At this time I can't turn on my Heat and the Air blower will not turn off !!! Please send a more seasoned experienced Tech out here that will test the unit completely before he leaves my home to make sure it's absolutely functional and will validate the Condenser outside will turn on and off. Thank you !!! Let's PLEASE GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME. As I said I have no heat! ALSO PLEASE RETURN WITH THE PART THAT WAS REMOVED ! Thank you. Philip Holbus
