Terrible and unfriendly
He continued to talk about how he dislikes his employer. Said he could not perform a check for an internal gas leak as he needed batteries. We asked for a second opinion but he evidently thought this was an affront to his ability and never requested one, nor included our request in his report. Very loud and obnoxious. Very low knowledge of the English language and could not understand what we were asking, nor could we understand his shouting.

Most terrible experience
It took three visits from the Sears technician—who was extremely unprofessional—to diagnose the issue. Unfortunately, inaccurate information was then provided to the warranty company, which resulted in the claim being denied. The item in question is clearly covered under the warranty. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend staying away from this company.

Servicing of furnace
We were informed that after paying for an extra service, the furnace was working perfectly. This was incorrect.

Nothing Went Right
Had the most bizarre experience with Choice Home Warranty today. The tech wouldn't even step inside until I paid a $75 fee that I had already sent to the company! When he finally got to work, he "fixed" my thermostat power issue completely by accident while messing with the wires. He then had the nerve to say wiring isn't covered and blamed the whole thing on a "dusty environment." It feels like this company has a mountain of excuses and exclusions they hide until the very last second. Honestly, I've never heard such outlandish reasons to deny a claim. Avoid them at all costs!

Sarah Combs - HVAC Service Request
Vendor did not show up for the scheduled appointment. It was rescheduled 3 times. I had to take off 3 days of work without pay for this. When I called your customer service I was told he was not returning to repair my hvac unit because he decided nothing was wrong with it. I'm very dissatisfied with this service.

I will avoid this company
Techniciam came early. He said 4:45 but showed up at 2:40. I rushed home from work. No appologies or any acknowlegement that he had disrupted my work as I had already planned to be home at the time he had originally indicated. Another problem was that he asked for my deductible (with Choice Home Warranty) which I had already paid to CHW when I had put my claim in. So, I told the technician that I had already paid. He said Sears system does not show it. So I asked him to wait a minute so that I can check with CHW, which I did and it took 2 minutes. Choice said that they had not processed the deductible and I should pay the technician. But when I went to pay him, he had already picked up and left !!! Sears did not complete their work.

No service provided
My appointment was rescheduled initially for one week later. Then the technician shows up with no way to accept payment so he left without diagnosing the issue. I called to get a new tech and new appointment but it appears my entire appointment has been canceled. This has been a big inconvenience as we have had to spend time out of work twice because the time of arrival is very broad, 8a-5p.

Service Call - thermostat
Came out to assess and service a broken HVAC thermostat. First, got notifications via text that we were not home and that we would need to reschedule service, even though my husband was at the door to greet him and let him in. He left with no update on if we were getting our thermostat replaced or repaired. After leaving our home, he sat outside, smoking a cigarette before he left. Had to arrange another service provider.

Did not fix the issue
Could not identify the issue. The furnace stopped completely after his visit. Put in notes that the furnace was working correctly when it was not. Would not recommend.

Blower findings
It started out bad. Your tech sail st the beginning of visit I need $75 dollars or I'm leaving Told him we paid CHW and he said he needed a check or leaving. His findings stated that blower wheel was contaminated with dirt and debris resulting in overheating and failure. I hired another AC company and they stated it looked really good for 17 years of usage My claim was rejected on blower motor but CHW said you should have installed a thermostat which they approved Your service tech never mentioned age From what I have been told well maintained blower motors should last 10-20 years, mine was 17
