Most of his comments were on negative side. Telling me our smart ecobee thermostat isn't good and whoever wired it did it wrong, but then at end saying that it was wired correct after all. And I as homeowner is one who wired it with help of ecobee support, so didn't feel too good to hear his comments. He did confirm our furnace works, bypassing thermostat signal, so it narrows down issue which may be signal from thermostat, which is helpful.

when insured with gas company a more through inspection was done,,,for example, chimney waS Checked for blockage that could cause carbon monoxide. was told that the furnace would not come on if there was a blockage in the exhaust air flow ,this left me feeling a little insecure. In other words, if the furnace comes on everything is ok?

Furnace blower

Furnace blower will not shut off. Technician left with out repairing and had to reassign claim.

Technician was rude and this behavior was witnessed by a guest. Aggressive in his demeanor and walked away from customer while trying to speak to him to ask questions about the repair! So sad a little courteous goes a long way.

Poor customer service

After having waited over a month to get my air conditioner fixed, the technician shows up to my home. He did not call 30 minutes prior as I'd requested so that I would be home when he arrived. He told me that I was his first stop at 1030 am (my service window was 0800-1700), and that he doesn't call ahead for his first stop. I informed him that I could be there in 25 minutes. He told me that he couldn't wait that long...15 minutes was all he could wait. I asked did he have the part and he said yes. I told him that my unit needed to be fixed today. He'd already stood me on the 25th of September...didn't show nor call. I had to make several phone calls to Sears Home Services which resulted in hours wasted because they had no knowledge as to what was going on with my service appointment. After a week of calls, I found the number for the Sears Home Warranty corporate office , and only then did this matter get escalated and an appointment was set for two days later. I explain this to the technician, again, he emphasized that he could only wait 15 minutes or put in a call to reschedule. I told him I'd call him back. I was able to have someone get there to give him access to the unit. It was fixed and seems to be working fine. This is the reason for two stars. He was very insensitive and inconsiderate, and didn't even provide an explanation as to why he didn't show up on Sep 25th.

Furnace Preventative Maintenance - Dissatisfied

Hello, We were dissatisfied with our recent Preventative Maintenance appointment. The technician indicated we had several components on our furnace that needed replacing. He attempted to turn on a valve then was unable to fully turn it off. He connected a hose to the valve and asked for a pale to catch the water. We are left to have a plumber come in to help us and were offered no options within the Sears Repair Services organization.

Furnace Check

Technician spent less than 20 minutes at my house. Was told that my ducts were dirty because my charcoal filter was black and that I had a rodent infestation from a dead insect in the corner of my HVAC system.

Maintenance check

Technician stated he doesn't typically work on furnaces. Stated he works on washing machines & refrigerators. Technician didn't realize that removing panels to furnace triggered cutoff switch for furnace. Technician stated he doesn't have a meter to check carbon monoxide, which every time we have a yearly check the technician uses. Didn't pull any hoses or check wiring.

Tech doesn't honor customer's request.

The last time Randy came out to do a routine maintenance prior to this time, he advised that the unit was one pound low on Freon so this is what prompted this "paid service visit today." Randy added the pound of Freon, I then asked "are you going to check the unit for leaks," he responded "I don't have to because it's only a pound low." I said to him, I would like for you to check this unit for leaks to ensure there are no issues causing the "low Freon" problem, and avoid having to call someone back out here sooner than necessary. Randy then put his tools away and left without saying another word. I was around back and getting ready to open up the garage for him to check for leaks but he was gone without my knowledge. This is unacceptable and going forward, if service is needed at this address, I would prefer if you send someone else because what I asked of him was reasonable. Thank you
